"We recently gave this sofa table a little update. It is painted in our favorite General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint. Such a beautiful piece and would make a great entryway table in a foyer as well." - Belle Maison
"This beautiful Eastlake wash stand dates between 1870-1890. For its age, it was in very good condition with only a few repairs. I used Minwax Classic Cherry stain for the top. The base was painted General Finishes Antique White (1 cup) and Buttermilk (1/8 cup) and finished everything with High Performance Topcoat in satin." - Newbac Designs
The cherry top was stripped and refinished in Minwax Classic Cherry. There was a very dark, thick stain on the top as well as horrible sanding swirls, so it was a challenge to remove the deep swirls and the stain that had soaked deep into the wood. The belt sander was my friend on this one! The base is painted in a custom creamy white to match her dressers I did earlier this year. It’s...
"Beautiful antique dresser refinished in Antique White with floral transfers. GF High Performance Flat Poly protects it. Crystal knobs add a touch of glam." - Flippin Fab Furniture Design
"This smelly, stained, wobbly MCM sewing table was completely restored and refinished; from the severely damaged wood top all the way down to the brass leg caps. Not a detail was missed.  Blood (literally, the cuts on my hands are still healing), sweat (so much sweat), and tears went into this piece so to say it tested me would be the understatement of the year. That's why I'm always grateful for these challenges and their fast approaching deadlines. Sometimes I do my best work under...
"Gorgeous, vintage, mahogany chest of drawers. This Duncan Phyfe style piece also boasts a bow front. This piece was updated using General Finishes Milk Paint in Antique White, with some light distressing. The top was sanded bare and re-stained with General Finishes Gel Stain in Java, then sealed with their High Performance Topcoat in Flat. The original, Hepplewhite style pulls were left as is."
"And here is the gorgeous table! The final piece of a beautiful dining set my clients parents owned in Germany that she inherited and brought back to the states and will eventually go to her daughters. The table had been previously painted so I stripped all of the old paint off to start fresh. I never just paint over old paint as I can’t guarantee my finish since I do not know the steps the previous painter took to prepare the piece for paint. After stripping, cleaning, sanding and cleaning...
"This buffet was quite the undertaking but so worth the effort!! After stripping it down, sanding and scrubbing I painted it in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and lightly distressed the edges. I wanted to do something special with the top and legs so I mixed a custom stain of General Finishes Whitewash, Tobacco and Graystone Water Based Stains. Some topcoat and new knobs make this baby SHINE!!" - Upcycling by Amy
"I stripped the top, which is laminate, and gave it an extra heavy sand with 80 grit sandpaper. Usually 220 is sufficient but this was extra slick. The paint was adhering well to the body so I gave it a really good sand and gave the entire piece three coats of primer, checked for adhesion issues and everything was sticking. The paint color is a custom light, warm gray. I used General Finishes Snow White and Antique White in equal parts (1 cup each) and added a little Perfect Gray (1/8 cup)...

Have you ever tried painting fabric? The process is very different than painting furniture but I'm so pleased with the results!

When I found this $20 chair at the Habitat for Humanity Restore I walked past, admiring it, multiple times and even sitting down to test it out before I decided I couldn't leave without it.

"A Deilcraft dining table is such an amazing find! With the top a gorgeous walnut veneer and the skirt and legs ash, this table and it’s two leaf extensions exude mid century modern goodness. I started by sanding the top using my DEWALT 5” random orbit sander. I don’t mention nearly enough that I use the corded type but I should! Have constant power running to this tool helps with consistent results. I find it more powerful and I never need to worry about a battery running out. It’s...

"This came to us in complete dilapidated disrepair. She was delivered in a pile of drawers, trim and components.....a sad demeanor that was literally nonexistent of life. A solid but trusty massive hutch, likely a 1930's Reproduction piece of old English Jacobean Style- she needed JUST the right Client. And some of you KNOW how to push me to stretch my artistic muscles in ALL SORTS OF WAYS.... and boy did this one do exactly that! Cinderella here came to The Reserve with a special built-in...

"I love the fresh clean lines on this piece with the exposed wood. I originally had the dark line lighter like the top drawer but I thought it would add some interest to darken it. Plus I am practical and if this were to be used in a bedroom I like the idea of it matching a dresser that’s either light or dark. Matchy but not too matchy, you know? This piece was painted in General Finishes Antique White and finished with wax." - Bayberry Moon
