Antique White

"This antique blanket chest was painted in Antique White from General Finishes and given a heavy distressing to show that oak woodgrain. New baroque handles from D. Lawless Hardware give it that special touch!"
"I refinished this cabinet for Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore for their Repurpose for a Reason event. This will be auctioned off for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. I have donated for the past few years now. I stripped the drawer fronts, then tapped off a design and sprayed with General Finishes Antique White. A new top was added and left natural and new knobs from Hobby Lobby complete the look."
"This vintage farmhouse style maple hutch is STUNNING! The top was sanded and stained a beautiful light brown and protected to show the gorgeous maple wood. The body was painted in a gorgeous Antique White from General Finishes. The back of the hutch top was sanded and stained as well to contrast the antique white. Vintage farmhouse images decoupaged on the inside doors. This piece would be stunning in any room!"

"It's always amazing what a little time and paint can do! Updated using #GeneralFinishes Milk Paint in Antique White and Gel Stain in Antique Walnut."

"Finished painting the outdoor playhouse for my neighbor. The sides were painted in General Finishes Blue Moon, trim in Antique White, and the door in Queenstown Gray. The milk paint is exterior rated, but I also top coated with Exterior 450. My neighbor built the playhouse and I helped paint it all. I love how this project turned out. It’s not a service that I offer, but since my kids will be using this I agreed to help. The kids are lucky to have such a fun place to play, and they all had a...
"I decided to do something different with this piece. I painted a couple snow capped mountains, and then painted the top in General Finishes Empire Gray. The other colors are a mix of Antique White, Empire Gray, and Lamp Black. How cool would this piece be for a nursery, as a toy box, or a cool little dresser?"
"This vintage mid century modern desk is the perfect mix between wood and white! This piece was sanded and topcoated to let the gorgeous walnut show. Accented in Antique White from General Finishes on the drawer fronts and geometric design on the top. Beautiful original brass pulls."
Horse Lovers this ones for you! This transformation was an 8 step process and turned out exactly as I envisioned.  Products used: Saltwash (to add an old weathered affect), General Finishes Antique White and Lamp Black, Horsehead transfer, General Finishes Flat out Flat to seal and new hardware." - Vintage Sisters
"After a GOOD cleaning and sanding they were primed and painted in General Finishes Antique White and sealed in the GF High Performance Topcoat. The top was stained in GF Java Gel Stain and sealed in their oil based topcoat Arm-R-Seal for years of protection!!" - Upcycling by Amy
"This vintage Stanley 6 foot coffee table and end table set were completely made over from top to bottom. I stripped the old finish off of the tops and stained with Minwax Rustic Mahogany gel stain. Gel stain is a great alternative to my normal oil based stain when trying to match three table tops that want to stain completely different colors. It’s thicker and can be manipulated to get a closer match. The bases were painted in a custom mix of General Finishes Antique White with a tiny amount...
"After a good sanding, they were primed and painted in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and the top is stained in a custom mix of Antique Walnut and Java Gel Stains." - Upcycling by Amy
"Feeling inspired by late summer sunshine and sunflowers, this petite buffet is painted in a custom mix of Sunglow, Somerset Gold, Buttermilk Yellow Milk Paints, a few dashes of Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effecs and some dollops of Antique White Milk Paint. Glazed the paint with a little Pitch Black Glaze Effects and sealed with Clear Enduro Poly in Satin." - Gravity Hill Home
"Oh my gosh, I am so excited this piece is finally done!! It needed a lot of work, but it's such a gorgeous and quality piece that it was worth it. Mahogany may be a real pain to work with, but the quality is amazing. The top was sanded down and brought back to life, the base needed lots of patching, sanding and I had to create a piece of missing trim. I patched and drilled new holes for the updated hardware, removed the green felt from the two small drawers and added fun paper instead. All in...
"The Lauren. A secretary with the IT factor! Softly and sweetly brought back to a beautiful life in General Finishes Antique White, with a warm aging glaze and High Performance Flat Finish. Insides had the old lacquer stripped down to bare wood and sealed in my favorite Arm-R-Seal. She took a good amount of time to rebuild those spindled legs, but I definitely think she was worth the wait! Salvaged as much original hardware as she came with, and improvised on the rest!"
"This piece was made between 1871 and 1900 because of the beautiful Knapp Joints on the drawers (those cute little scalloped joints in the second pic.) Knapp joints were only used for this short period of time in history. So that would make it between 120-149 years old! How cool is that?!   It is made from all solid Walnut with the exception of the burl veneer on the drawers and door front. I just couldn’t paint this beauty! It was missing it’s top so I made a new wood plank top painted...
"My client picked this dresser from my Unfinished Inventory to customize for her daughter. I love that she chose Antique White by General Finishes for the body and Brown Mahogany for the top. Even though it meant more work for me, I suggested stripping the front legs and staining them as well, I love the look and was glad she agreed!"
"Love this custom color of half General Finishes Harvest Yellow and Antique White Milk Paint on this commission antique vanity. Top refinished in Antique Walnut Gel Stain and then a coat of Java to get just the right color. All sealed with GF Flat Out Flat to keep that antique look. This was my customer, Julie’s design with the little antique white detailed accents. Turned out so sweet ...but the yellow is a little washed out in daylight photos...so much richer in person."
Beautiful makeover in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint
"This dresser was very basic to start off with. I love the idea of just a classic white dresser with a little surprise so I sanded it down, primed it and painted it in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint. To get the wow factor I added pops of the Fern Wood transfer to the sides of the dresser. Lastly finished it off with some mercury glass knobs and TA-DA you have a whole new piece ✨!!"    Check out GF's full video library for product overview and how-to videos at ...

"Most of you know my tastes tend to lean more modern with straight lines. However, I have so much respect for curvy furniture because I know how hard it is to make. These curvy gals are stunning Drexel pieces from the 1960s. They are in phenomenal shape, so well made and with their modern update I hope they will be loved for a long time. Hope you're having a great day. ❤️" - Boxwood & Brass   General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint & Java Gel Stain

Our return client lives in a modern rustic house on 5 acres. She has a keen eye for art and asked us to be creative. This was a painters dream! We found an inspiration piece and went to work. We hand painted GF Antique White using a crosshatch method. GF Brick Red and Somerset Gold were painted in meandering stripes. A wash of Antique White was used over the red. The hardware was sprayed in Rustoleum Black Spray Paint.

No question this is a beautiful buffet.  With great carvings and detail work.  And it has it's flaws; although quite minor and cosmetic.

I really wanted to embrace the British Colonial era, and I knew I wanted to focus more on the finish of the body, rather than the center image transfer.

I think, on this piece, the image transfer is secondary.  And because of that, I choose to mute the image.

My aim when working on a piece of furniture is never to make it look '...

General Finishes Queenstown Gray and Antique White milk paints were used to create this Chalky effect on this pretty chest of drawers.  I wet blended the colors during application and then added a little DIY Paint Kissing booth for a pop of color.  The top was painted in Antique White and glazed with a custom gray glaze.  The body of the dresser was sealed with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in Satin.  Then the beautiful IOD Transfer was applied.  I sealed again with the HP Satin...
