The rower has two main finsihed parts; the outer frame and the inner frame. The first step was to raise the grain with a water spritz then sand with 220-320-grit sandpaper to know down the "hairs". A Custom formula of Cabernet and Amber Dye Stain was mixed to achieve the rich, reddish color for the outer frame. General Finishes Enduro Extender...

"I’m so in love with this timeless Webster Groves staircase! Such a classic beauty. The railings & posts were never clear coated from the previous contractor so they were really dull and faded. The treads were failing big time and I suspect the proper floor rated clear coat was not used to protect them.   We completely refinished all the oaks treads, cleaned the railings and posts and I dyed everything with a custom blend of General Finishes Dye Stains using Light Brown, Medium...

This beautiful vanity was lightly sanded with 180 then 220 grit sandpaper. The beautiful burl wood top was then stained with GF dye stain in Amber.

I needed to add some extra oomph to the front of the drawer and mirror so using Artisan Enhancements VP Antico I did a raised stenciling effect. After it was completely dry I lightly sanded the stencil to knock down any rough edges.

I used Wise Owl paints in Weathervane, Bowie, Smokey Quartz and Begonia  I sanded the paint doing...

"I bought a ponderosa pine slab, made for cabinets, from Home Depot to use as a writing table surface in my office. I ADORE the look of dye stain under gel stain. Dye stain highlights the woodgrain and provides a unique undertone when used under gel stain. The wood has a warm, glowing look and feel that I love! I look forward to writing at this table every morning, especially at sunrise." -Jamie Finish schedule over prep-sanded raw pine wood: 2 coats of Amber Dye Stain 1 coat of a 2:1 mix of...

Check out this amazing hand crafted table from Marion Lovett! It first got a got of GF Amber Dye Stain, then a coat of Candlelight Gel Stain (shown in the second picture). Then 2 coat of Antique Walnut Gel Stain were applied and the entire table was sealed with 4 coats of Arm-R-Seal Topcoat. Marion says, "It is 8' in diameter and made of old barn wood (oak). The bottom was timberframed in the traditional fashion with mortise, tenon, and pegs. I was aiming for an old medieval look. I used all...

The Painted Drawer_ refinished this classic yet stylish table. "I used General Finishes Dye Stain in Amber as a first coat. After the dye stain dried, I used General Finishes Gel Stain in Nutmeg over it. The result is really lovely. The amber dye stain peeks out from under the nutmeg and gives the wood dimension and a great play of color. After it cured for a few days, I used the GF gel topcoat, wipe-on urethane in satin. I love this product! It provides a fantastic durable finish and gives...
