Custom Dye Stained Stairs

"I’m so in love with this timeless Webster Groves staircase! Such a classic beauty. The railings & posts were never clear coated from the previous contractor so they were really dull and faded. The treads were failing big time and I suspect the proper floor rated clear coat was not used to protect them.   We completely refinished all the oaks treads, cleaned the railings and posts and I dyed everything with a custom blend of General Finishes Dye Stains using Light Brown, Medium Brown & Amber. The goal was to pair the staircase better with her floors but NOT a dated orangey oak. I love this color ! It’s so rich and has sooo much depth ! We also sanded & repainted the spindles, skirt boards & risers. I’m a nut about creating new fresh lines that make everything look so sharp!" - House of Paint & Design Co
