"I applied two coats of GF Dye Stain in Light Brown to clear white pine boards, then used a sponge brush to lay down two coats of GF Java Gel Stain. After the stain dried, I used a clean cloth dipped in denatured alcohol to pull away some of the darker areas to reveal the amber-brown tones created by the Dye Stain. Instead of using a traditional topcoat I rubbed in a coat of beeswax. I love your products and we love our new beam." - Mary Schiff

I don't mind painting by hand, but topcoats are just not as smooth on large pieces. So, saying that, here is a bookcase I have been working on. The paint still needs a sealer but it will have to wait a bit longer. I love your products, GF! General Finishes Lamp Black milk paint was used on the box with Valspar 'Courtyard' for the green shade....
