"This antique drop leaf table needed a TON of work, i felt like I was working on it FORVER…so remind me to not do tables ever again
However, I am pleased with how it turned out. Legs were primed and painted in Dark Roast Country Chic Paint. The wood is stained in General Finishes Gel Stain in Colonial Maple and the whole piece was sealed with GF Flat Out Flat." - Kate’s Reclaimed
"I knew what I wanted to do with it the minute I spotted it. Lots of love went into this one. It went from outdated orange to rustic and relevant. Here’s the skinny: Stripped with Citristrip, Sanded completely x 2, Bleached x 2, Cleaned x 3, Paint washed x 2 with General Finishes Milk Paint in Millstone, Sealed in Flat out Flat water based topcoat by General Finishes." - Sue’s Vintage Creations
"Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black (she's more black than she appears), lightly distressed, and sealed in GF High Performance Topcoat in satin followed by Flat Out Flat Topcoat, this piece is timeless." - Red Geranium Restorations
"This chest of drawers is just so beautiful now, I almost don’t want to let it go! I removed every inch of that dated finish, squared off the bottom, swapped out the hardware, and refinished the wood to reveal this beautiful, light maple. I used General Finishes Flat Out Flat to give it protection without deepening the color." - The Pink Pinecone
"I’ve been buried in this custom for over a month. My client wanted the inside white but the shelves, back and side panels did not come off. I had to twist and turn and literally paint upside down inside this piece. But guys the pop of blue on this is amazing! I love a modern navy with some royal flair and this was the perfect statement color for this hutch. The original French provincial hardware was sprayed gold and gold wallpaper was added to the middle drawer. I used General Finishes paint...

This was my customer, Julie’s design with the little antique white detailed accents. Turned out so sweet ...but the yellow is a little washed out in daylight photos...so much richer in person."

Stripping this thrift-store find down to her bones, I rebuilt her to last another lifetime! Using General Finishes Weathered Grey on the entire piece, I brought out the beautiful wood grain she had hiding beneth the surface of her old garb. After allowing her to dry, I lightly sanded with a 400 grit to accent the wood grain further. To lighten the piece up even more, I used a mix of General FInishes Snow White and water to make my own white wash to place around her outside and edges, leaving...
The look of this dresser makes my heart beat faster. Age-old, made of solid wood with elements of oak veneer. One of its kind, aged by multi-layered application of a whole range of mixed colors on the furniture, which gently penetrate each other creating an impression of being damaged by time. The inspiration for it was impressionist paintings trying to capture the fleeting moment and the sensual play of colors.
I’m in love with this piece and how the wood grain pops out of the finish.
I painted it in a persian blue than sealed with sanding sealer, applied pitch black glaze and sanded till wood grain appeared. Than sealed with flat out flat for a perfect matte finish. Lightly distressed for a farmhouse shabby chic finish.

This gorgeous Eastlake style dresser quickly became one of my all-time favorite projects with a custom blend of General Finishes Milk and Chalk Style Paints with 2 parts Queenstown Gray Milk Paint, 4 parts Seagull Gray Milk Paint, and 3 parts Charleton Blue Chalk Style Paint. The resulting paint was smooth, creamy, and effortlessly beautiful! My favorite part of custom blends is that they tend to be chameleons - they can appear to take on different hues based on their lighting and other...
"I sanded a cable spool table then painted it in Queenstown Gray and white wash wood stain both products of General Finishes. with a damp rag blending in colors. I then dry brushed to highlight areas. I applied a French transfer to the top and then sealed it in high performance top coat. I cut the foot out for storage in center of the table. I added another transfer to the door as well. I then used Flat out Flat and then High performance to seal it with. I added rollers to the bottom for...

I decided the piece needed some more color to go along with plain gray and picked this cute wrapping paper with triangles. I laid the wrapping paper over each panel inside to get an idea of what size to cut it down to.
Once I cut it out, I put a coat of decoupage glue on the wood panel, laid the paper on...

We wanted this little gal to have a French country look, so she's painted in Charleton Blue Chalk Style Paint. The middles of the drawers, around the handles, are painted with Linen (Milk Paint) then layered with Summertime Blue Chalk Style Paint and again with the Charleton Blue. The handles on the top dated this gal, so we added glass knobs. Everything is finished with Flat Out Flat." - General Finishes November 2017 Retailer of the Month, Boutique Unique
