What a stunner! Susan at Saw Nail and Paint_ restyled this charming Lane cedar chest with a French love letter stencil, Java Gel Stain, and a custom navy! Susan shared, "It definitely feels like fall today (and the darkness is making it hard to get good photos!). But, here is a look at a newly refinished Lane cedar chest from 1929... I applied one coat of General Finishes Java Gel Stain, let it dry for a day, and then sealed it. I sanded and painted the body with a custom navy blue made with a dab of General Finishes Persian Blue, a splash of Queenstown Gray and about a cup of Coastal Blue. I know those measurements aren’t precise, but I just mixed until I had achieved the color I wanted. The result was a gorgeous navy blue." Check out her blog for more at http://bit.ly/1hPhaOs :)
