Gorgeous desk in General Finishes Seagull Gray Milk Paint and Ash Gray Gel Stain.
"After a GOOD cleaning and sanding they were primed and painted in General Finishes Antique White and sealed in the GF High Performance Topcoat. The top was stained in GF Java Gel Stain and sealed in their oil based topcoat Arm-R-Seal for years of protection!!" - Upcycling by Amy
"A simple wood dresser underneath layers of latex paint, and some other kind of original stain. I could see it’s potential from the moment I saw it.
I peeled off as much of the latex as I could and sanded the rest (including the original stain). The grain that came out just made my heart so excited. I used General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain for the drawers and sealed with the Gel Topcoat. The frame was chalk painted using Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey. Even though I filled the holes before...

"There is so much to love about an antique empire chest of drawers – proud stance, curvy scrollwork, and graduated drawers are signature characteristics of the coveted 1800s American style.
Our newest charm, Suzannah bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary design, delivering excellent craftsmanship and a new two-toned look to her new home.
The vision was clear, but it took some time and care to get her to this reveal. After good cleaning and prep sanding, I chose General...
"And General Finishes Coastal Blue with GF Java Gel Stain for the win to bring these faded rattan patio chairs back to life!"
"I’m very excited to share this chest I restored for my friend. I did some research on it, and it was made in 1933 by the Rockford Cedar Furniture company, and has been in my friend’s family for generations. She remembers playing on it as a child. It had all the scratches and wear to show for it!
I was thrilled to be able to restore it to its former glory, and update it with accents of black to fit in with modern decor.
The top was finished with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain;...
"Oh my gosh, I am so excited this piece is finally done!! It needed a lot of work, but it's such a gorgeous and quality piece that it was worth it. Mahogany may be a real pain to work with, but the quality is amazing. The top was sanded down and brought back to life, the base needed lots of patching, sanding and I had to create a piece of missing trim. I patched and drilled new holes for the updated hardware, removed the green felt from the two small drawers and added fun paper instead. All in...
"Beautiful in black, this mid century dresser has gold accents side strips complementing the gorgeous General Finishes Lamp Black Milk painted frame and Nutmeg Gel stained drawers."
"This antique parlor table was saved from the garbage and given to me. ❤️ As I thought about what color to paint the base, I started sanding as part of the prep before painting. As I worked, I realized the table was perfect the way it was, partially sanded and sealed, kept a little antique rustic, while the top and sides were completely sanded and refinished in General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain."
"This absolutely stunning buffet is all refreshed and ready for a new home. This lovely lady had great bones but was in desperate need of a face lift. The veneer on top was chipping away so I removed it completely and sanded the wood underneath. Gave it a fresh coat of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain, I also did the same to the lower section of this piece. The rest was painted in General Finishes Reverent Gray. The stained areas were sealed with GF High Performance Topcoat, and...
"Made with maple, ash, and white oak hardwood, this solid dresser/changing table will last through the years as the child grows up. Since it was made with real wood, the color can be changed to stay relevant with the times.
One big benefit of a custom piece of furniture is that it can be designed with dimensions to fit a particular space. This dresser was constructed a little taller than a normal three drawer dresser to make diaper changing a little easier for the parents, who both...
"Curved drawers on this Bassett mid century dresser needed something special and unique. General Finishes White Gel Stain gave them a modern whitewash look. Surrounded by an Alabaster Milk painted frame, accented with gold handles and feet creates a simply elegant design."
"This piece was made between 1871 and 1900 because of the beautiful Knapp Joints on the drawers (those cute little scalloped joints in the second pic.) Knapp joints were only used for this short period of time in history. So that would make it between 120-149 years old! How cool is that?!
It is made from all solid Walnut with the exception of the burl veneer on the drawers and door front. I just couldn’t paint this beauty! It was missing it’s top so I made a new wood plank top painted...
"Wow! What a difference! This was my client’s vision and it turned out amazing! General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint and Antique Walnut Gel Stain brought this mid century dresser back to a new beautiful. Those solid brass knobs are stunners."
"My client picked this dresser from my Unfinished Inventory to customize for her daughter. I love that she chose Antique White by General Finishes for the body and Brown Mahogany for the top. Even though it meant more work for me, I suggested stripping the front legs and staining them as well, I love the look and was glad she agreed!"
Absolutely gorgeous in General Finishes Persian Blue Milk Paint and Antique Walnut Gel Stain
"Love this custom color of half General Finishes Harvest Yellow and Antique White Milk Paint on this commission antique vanity. Top refinished in Antique Walnut Gel Stain and then a coat of Java to get just the right color. All sealed with GF Flat Out Flat to keep that antique look.
This was my customer, Julie’s design with the little antique white detailed accents. Turned out so sweet ...but the yellow is a little washed out in daylight photos...so much richer in person."
"This 6 drawer antique piece received a full refinish in deep GF Tobacco Water Based Stain.
Stunning hand applied three dimensional raised floral finish added to all 6 drawer fronts with an antique wash of General Finishes Lamp Black on the floral followed by slight hand rubbing of GF Black Gel Stain to "age" and deepen some areas to allow the beautiful wood tones to show through."
Great classic look in General Finishes Alabaster Milk Paint and Java Gel Stain

"He is pretty damn handsome!!! So thrilled with the final results on this Kroehler 8 drawer dresser. We opted to re-stain the top in Antique Walnut and paint out the base in General Finishes Driftwood. This piece is sprayed and the finish is flawless. We kept the original hardware but sprayed them matte black."

"These nightstands actually came from a vintage kneehole style desk! My friend Greg of The Furniture Fix split the desk apart and installed a reclaimed oak top on each side.
They were refinished using Brushable White Enamel tinted to Antique White by General Finishes. To age them a bit, I applied Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. The reclaimed oak tops are stained in Antique Walnut and sealed with High Performance Satin."

"Lane cedar chests are my most favorite pieces to revive! The second I saw this chest for sale I knew I was going to remove the bottom and add tapered wood legs and I couldn’t be happier with how it updated the look. I used a combination of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain and Lamp Black Milk Paint. It seemed a little boring to me so I decided to add some fun stripes. The original hardware and lock were painted gold to complete this transformation!"
"Perfectly, yet plainly elegant mid century Lane cedar chest, which would also be an amazing pop of color as a bench. This beauty was painted in General Finishes Gulf Steam Blue, complemented by Java Gel stained top and legs (and it has a key!)" - Just a Touch of Paint

"This cabinet is a beast! I love these old pieces! It was a handmade family heirloom that we sanded down to raw wood and applied General Finishes White Gel Stain. We then sanded it back giving it a nice worn beachy look and highlighted the grooves with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. We also added feet making this cabinet more then 9’ tall! It turned out beautiful! The picture doesn’t do it justice!!"
Charming, charming and more charming! This sweet piece of my clients family history is done and has gone back home!
The entire table was stripped of its old finishes revealing several different woods used to build it. The legs and end panels are curly maple, a couple of the little feet are oak, the side panels where the sweet, handmade hinges are are walnut and the inside side panels are mahogany. The three tabletop panels are a mystery. It has the wood tone of red oak but not the...
"Most of you know my tastes tend to lean more modern with straight lines. However, I have so much respect for curvy furniture because I know how hard it is to make. These curvy gals are stunning Drexel pieces from the 1960s. They are in phenomenal shape, so well made and with their modern update I hope they will be loved for a long time. Hope you're having a great day. ❤️" - Boxwood & Brass

Beautiful table makeover with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain and a custom mix of Persian Blue and Driftwood Milk Paint by Art is Beauty
"Latest gorgeous mid century dresser. Love this style! Refinished with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain on top and drawers and Lamp Black Milk Paint to accent. Perfect combo to make those brass handles pop!"
White Gel Stain Table Top
"I think this one goes down in the books for epic before/after. I ended up popping off the drawer fronts and was left with THE most fabulous old wood. I bought site unseen and almost dragged it to the curb when I brought it home :/ GF Gel Stain rub down :) ✔ THAT off the list!"
This look was achieved with General Finishes Candlelite and Java Gel Stains and Pitch Black Glaze Effects to give a deeper black tone to top and sides.
I also used General Finishes gel stain in Ash Gray for the top. I love love love this gray stain! Every other gray stain I’ve tried has gone on blue. This one actually went on a warm gray and neutralized the red orange mahogany. I will definitely be looking for more pieces to use this stain.
"Very unique, solid and well built Kroehler mid century dresser or buffet. One of a kind wood petal accents surrounding brass knobs are unusual and so cool! Solid brass swing handles are the bling on General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint top drawers, as well as the frame, with Java Gel stained bottom drawers."

This beautiful mid century modern dresser was manufactured by West Michigan Furniture Co. right here in Holland! I found this in the attic of a home that was being torn down, I am so glad I was able to rescue it.
The top and drawer fronts were stained in General Finishs Antique walnut gel stain and the remainder of the body painted in lamp black, one of my favorite colors combinations. New more current hardware was added to complete this transformation.
White Gel Stained dresser top - raw wood
"This custom dresser needed a lot of love and repairs but we brought her back to life! Painted in one my most popular color combinations, General Finishes Coastal Blue and Antique Walnut Gel Stain. The original hardware was painted gold and beautiful floral liner was added to the drawers."
