Harlequin Side Table

"Antique Oak Harlequin table. My initial plan for this OLD piece was to strip down and do a natural paint wash. Unfortunately years of being used as a plant stand took its toll. If you don't know... water causes black staining to oak. Because of the grain it's impossible to reverse. So... Plan B. It had to be unique and a little piece of art. Now finished in General Finishes Linen and Lamp Black Milk Paint. I've given a time worn Harlequin pattern to the top and an antique wash to give a beautiful muted aging." - Raised Expectations
