Snow White

These are one of my favorite projects to date. They were falling apart and needed a lot of loving. I fixed them up and stained/painted them to be the seating area in my studio. I love how they turned out! 

Unusual commode, simple, with interesting dimensions. In a narrow range of cold colors where blues and purples permeate each other. Layered applied General Finishes paint in Klein Blue, Royal Purple, Coastal Blue, Lime Green, Snow White. The shimmering metallic effect of Pearl Effect in gold and Brick Red was applied on the spot. Visible cracks and splinters add "years". The center is an energizing plum.

This Blue Jean Girl is stunning!

I'm in love with Coastal Blue and it brought out the modern look of this piece.  With the brushed snow white on the drawers that where sanded back to give it a jean look.  

Ahhhh.... the snow white dream kitchen! Who wouldn't love to shuffle into this beauty each morning for that perfect cup of coffee! These cabinets once boasted a stained and glazed Tuscan look, but the final stage of this kitchen transformation was painting the cabinets a beautiful pristine white. This kitchen was overload of honey oak, when starting, making it outdated and dark. It was quickly modernized into a brighter space by painting the cabinets and updating the hardware. The kitchen island was painted a different color to add some contrast. 

This is a bathroom I refinished for a client's beach home. She wanted a coastal chippy look but wanted the cabinets to be smooth to the touch and durable.

For this project, I cleaned the cupboards and doors three times using dawn and water, krud clutter, and then plain old water. Next, I sanded the wood with a 220 grit and cleaned off with rustoleum branded tack cloth. 

Because I was painting oak, I primed the cupboards with 3 coats of Kilz Stain blocking primer, with a light sand in between each coat with a 400+ grit paper. The top cupboards took 3 coats of...

Stunning kitchen cabinets in General Finishes Snow White and Driftwood Milk Paint by Boxwood & Brass

I fell in love with this piece and wanted to give it a modern spin, but keep the natural beauty of the wood.

I painted the body stain blocker and snow white milk paint.  After sanding the wood I loved the natural wood and the different colors that showed with each drawers so I just sealed with with Gel poly and the ombre' wood colors came to life.  

Painted table with crackled General Finishes Lamp black milk paint and a General Finishes Snow White base layer. Decoupaged drawers in a black and white damask pattern. 

I wanted to do something bold and elegant with this vintage dresser.  The shell was painted in a rich black and the drawers in a bright white.  I added a beautiful transfer to the drawers adding to its elegance.  Some added details include the appliqués on the top door fronts, decoupaged paper on the drawer sides and inside doors, Black crystal drawer knobs and finally bold and bright flowered fabric for the drawer liners. It turned out beautifully. 

Not going to lie- this little bathroom vanity is oh so vain. Who can blame her with such character and details? Glamorous gold flaunting and delicate wood moldings enhance the luxurious styling of this repurposed sewing cabinet. More chic than shabby, this modern twist to farmhouse decor is just what your powder room needs! Hand painted with General Finishes Snow White and Lamp Black, and sealed with their top coat.

This dresser was painted to resemble a "locker" for my son's baseball bedroom. It has been painted with GF Lamp Black and the numbers were painted with GF Snow White. 

This white, black and maple dresser is for the modern-farmhouse lover! I know it sounds crazy but I got my inspiration from one of Joanna Gaines' door mats in her Hearth and Hand line at Target. My pattern is slightly different but it still resembles the design. Products used are Snow White, Lamp Black and HPTC in flat. 

This oak chest-of-drawers was brought back to life with a mixture of GF Snow White and Antique White. The handles were orginally rust/iron, but I dry brushed and sanded them with GF Lamp Black to give the piece some character. The whole thing was sealed with GF HPTC, flat. 

Wow!  Vintage transformed into modern!

This beautiful Thomasville buffet did not sell in its original dated condition. The brass hardware was removed from the back and the top stripped and sanded down to remove all scratches and rings. The top was stained expresso and the body was painted in a rich custom mixed bright turqouise. It was then glazed with GF pitch black glaze and crumpled bags were used to get the faux effect. Fun and functional, this Mid-Century three drawer dresser pops with color and style! It was rescued from a bike repair shop, found when looking at another piece of furniture. It was in pieces and had extensive damage.
