"Vintage dresser by Owosso Furniture. I’ve never heard of this brand so I looked it up. The dresser is solid wood and very nicely made. Turns out they are a very high end company and one article said other companies, including I believe it was Thomasville and Bassett, aspired to make as good quality furniture as Owosso did!
Solid wood, sturdy, drawers work well and have all wood drawer boxes and dovetail joinery.
This was given a makeover using General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black....
"I gave it a good cleaning, sanded the failing finish from the top and then gave it a new black dress. I’m super tempted to keep it, but I won’t. Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint." - Deer Run Vintage Company

"A quick and easy art update that anyone can do! I found this piece at a local thrift shop and was given a quick update with my favorite black paint, Lamp Black by General Finishes. It’s an easy & cost effective update and anyone can do this to add decor to their home." - REmade
"Vaughan Bassett oak dresser. I admittedly struggled with design on this one. My brain is mush this week and I was so undecided on which route to take.
Remove base like I normally do? I almost did, because smashing stuff with a hammer is satisfying. But this piece is so well built that I couldn’t do it. Distress it? Glaze it? Do a natural white wash? I finally opted on a timeless combo of General Finishes Perfect Gray Milk Paint and dark walnut stain." - Elm Street Designs
"Solid wood Thomasville chest of drawers. It’s been a couple years since I’ve incorporated grain sack stripes into a piece of furniture so I decided to bring it back!
Sanded and refinished in General Finishes Perfect Gray. Stripes in Alabaster.
The entire piece was lightly distressed." - Elm Street Designs
"Meet Adeline. This piece is really quite old. Solid oak. Painted in Lamp Black by General Finishes and a tissue paper with a botanical print was used to decoupage the top and bottom. On the underside, a name, handwritten in cursive. Adeline. I didn’t have the heart to paint over it…the bottom was left exactly as I found it. It is part of its story." - REmade
"Absolutely gorgeous, vintage Italian Provincial dresser with 7 drawers. It was given a makeover using General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black, and was sealed with their High Performance Top Coat in Flat. The beautiful, original antique brass hardware was left as is." - Garage 9 v2
"This is a vintage 3-tier folding pie/cake stand. It has been given a modern, updated look painted in Lamp Black with chunky numbers painted in Antique White, both by General Finishes. Distressed and then sealed for durability. This chunky, funky piece would be a fun plant stand, bathroom toilet paper holder or whatever you can imagine-definitely a conversation piece!" - REmade

"When my in-laws bought a cabin this table was left there. It’s super unique and very functional, so they kept it but wanted it a little more updated. I refinished this in General Finishes Perfect Gray, it’s a warm gray color and able to go with any decor. I finished with High Performance Top Coat in Flat for durability. Everything was sprayed using my Fuji Spray sprayer for a smooth and flawless finish." - Flipping Unbelievable

"When first eyeing this beaut, I had no idea what the plan was. She is old and was definitely begging for a makeover. I looked her over and thought she might be an "easy-sand", and if so, a wood "wash" with General Finishes Linen would be perfect.
Luckily, this project went according to plan. She has been made new again and is ready to live on with her new, sophisticated look. Her drawers have been lined with a linen fabric and she features white marbled knobs.
I say this often, but once...

We absolutely love the transformation of our latest flip. This old, outdated mid century piece came into the shop last month in desperate need of a facelift. We decided to put all of our cards on the table and go all-in on a complete overall.
Originally a low dresser from the 1960’s, this piece is now versatile enough to fit in almost every room in your house. It can be used as a dresser, buffet, credenza, or entertainment / tv stand.

I clear coated the globe first then once dried, I place the stencil on and clear coated again. Once that dried, I painted on the message (two coats). I chose my favorite, go-to black by General Finishes called Lamp Black. Once that dried, I put on another clear coat of GF water based High Performance Topcoat." - REmade
