Tuscan Red End Table

"This two piece custom order was just wrapped up today! Solid Ethan Allen accent single drawer table that just needed a little update along with a cool Mallard Wood Box…yes I refinish anything!!! So the Ethan Allen table was first sanded down along with the drawer face. The wood needed to be matched to my clients living room built-ins so I mixed a custom blend of Minwax Cherry and Honey. Those surfaces were then clear coated with Polyurethane. The remainder of the piece was painted in General Finishes Tuscan Red and then accented with Black Wax. The drawer was lined with a Paisley pattern by Waverly. Original hardware pull was sprayed in black and then accented with gold gilding wax. I totally forgot to photograph the Mallard Box before I started…too much excitement when I get rolling. The trim of the wooden box was sanded down and then I used the same custom stain. “Bavarian” by Home Decor was chosen by my customer to match the Malards wing color so the box was repainted and I also touched up Mr. Mallard who had several dings to his head!.
