I found, and fell in love with, a set of framed botanical prints on a black background, different than so many others I had seen. BUT I didn't love the price tag So I figured it couldn't be too difficult to make my own! What do you think?
I painted three 10x10 canvases in General Finishes Lamp Black, applied IOD - Iron Orchid Designs Fronds Botanical transfer sections (thank you Rustic Resque for your awesome selection), the frames were built from 1x2's I had on hand and stained in Varathane Golden Oak. Would you believe the hanging rings are just upside down towel rings attached to the frames? I had to get creative on that one. I found matching wrought iron hooks at Hobby Lobby...VOILA! My vision came to life and didn't cost me an arm and a leg!
