About This Post
"This beautiful coastal dining set was originally just an ordinary table and chairs. You know the type...orangey in color, out of style, ugly. The top of the table was removed and I cut down different widths of wood planks to fit. They were then sanded... and sanded some more. Next I stained using a combination of General Finishes stains. This combo is top secret, but I will reveal that Java, Brown Mahogany and Gray were used. This gives the wood an old, weathered look. I then dry brushed the tops with antique white, and several of Annie Sloan's colors. The bottom of the table was finished in antique white milk paint. Living at the beach, I had the advantage of staging on the beach. What could be better? needless to say, this set didn't sit around too long before it sold!" - Tina Marshello of Make It a Masterpiece
Anitque White Milk Paint, Java, Brown Mahogany and Gray Gel Stain, and High Performance Topcoat products were used for this piece.
