This spectacular wall decoration was created from scratch by Kneeland Designs, and brought to life with a mixture of about 20 different General Finishes products! To start off, they applied water based conditioner and the oil based conditioner to the appropriate sections of the piece. Sun: Combination of General Finishes Empire Red, Amber, Orange and Yellow Dye Stains. Each was layered on the other to achieve a more complex color. Rock: Stained with GF's Pecan, American Walnut and Spiced Walnut oil based stains. It also got GF's Light Brown and Ebony Dye Stains and a light wash of GF's Driftwood Milk Paint. Ocean: Stained with GF's Blue Dye Stain and several custom combinations of GF's Milk Paint (including Halcyon, Corinth, Klein and Coastal Blues). The Foundation/Back piece (that all of the little pieces were glued to): Stained with GF's Light Oak Oil Based Stain. Finish: To finish the piece off, GF's Enduro-Var was applied on the water based sections, and GF's Arm-R-Seal was applied to the oil based sections. Wow!
