About This Post
I really wanted to keep the wood on the top natural on this one, but the veneer was messed up, and I tried to get it down to bare wood, but it had other plans for me!
It was glued on so badly, and it was absolutely horrible to get off. So I ended up having to paint the top of it because once I got the veneer off, the wood would not take stain because there was so much glue residue, and frankly I gave up on it
I kept the original hardware to keep the character of this vintage piece.
The drawers were lined with lots of colorful contact paper, and when I took it off, the inside of the drawers were very rough. So I brightened those up with a product that restores the finish of the wood.
Then it was painted in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint, and sealed with Polycrylic Matte clear coat for protection.
