About This Post
We absolutely love the transformation of our latest flip. This old, outdated mid century piece came into the shop last month in desperate need of a facelift. We decided to put all of our cards on the table and go all-in on a complete overall.
Originally a low dresser from the 1960’s, this piece is now versatile enough to fit in almost every room in your house. It can be used as a dresser, buffet, credenza, or entertainment / tv stand.
After stripping everything down to the original veneer, we rebuilt the base and added brand new modern legs. The outside drawers and body were painted with Alabaster milk paint byGeneral Finishes. We used a Pecan Wood Stain on the center drawers to bring them back to their original look. Everything was then sprayed with multiple coats of General Finishes High Performance TopCoat to make sure the finishes stay protected for years to come. The final step was to add brand new black finger pulls that not only match the new legs, but act as a perfect complement to the Alabaster and Pecan finishes.
