About This Post
"I’m slowly coming around to black. Someone once told me that interior designers say that every room should have some black in it. Which is interesting to me because I always think every room should have some pink in it. Soooo, clearly I’m no interior designer. But I digress… This Empire style beauty was painted in General Finishes Lamp Black with delicate distressing. Then, two coats of GF High Performance Topcoat in Gloss toned with GF’s water based Ebony stain for more depth. And a final coat of HPTC in Flat for a soft, subtle glow. The original glass and brass pulls have been cleaned up and the working lock mechanisms have been scrubbed back to a bright brass. For the fun little extras- I made some come cute tassels for the keys and lined the drawers with vintage black and white floral paper." - Blush Vintage
