Walnut

"Well this one turned out amazing as now it’s a one of a kind piece looking for a new home. This nearly 100 year old dresser was a project that needed a complete rebuild so we changed it up a bit and decided to repurpose all the drawers to build the bottom portion of the cabinet. For finish it came down to all General Finishes products. Custom mixed water based stains using Whitewash, Brown Mahogany & Walnut. Finished with 3 sprayed coats of GF High Performance poly for durability." -...
"Solid Oak…. It’s my favorite wood! I love the grain pattern, no mistaking it. I love the color, rich and warm. This table top needed a refresh, but only the top; the skirting and the legs were in great condition. The top had some sun damage, and a failing sticky finish.  But, when you only refinish one part of a pice of furniture, you can easily run into a mess of unmatched finishes. Old finishes have years of sun oxidation (fading) and oil based clear coats yellow over time, between the...

"This pine tall dresser has been sanded back and refinished in a walnut stain and sealed and protected with a hard wearing topcoat, new brass handles have been added, my first time trying General Finish products, love how they turned out !" - W.Holme Design   General Finishes Walnut Water Based Stain and High Performance Topcoat Flat.
"A little late in sharing, but I was able to refinish this dining room table for a client just in time for their Thanksgiving celebrations! I disassembled the table in order to make it easier to strip everything. After removing the old finish and stain completely, I combined two General Finishes Water Based Stains (Onyx and Walnut) for a dark brown color. I sealed everything with High Performance Top Coat for durability and put it all back together. Love the new look!" - Flipping Unbelievable...
"Stripped the finish and stained in General Finishes Walnut Water Based Stain. It’s a great stain color, a pretty brown with black undertones." - Flipping Unbelievable   N
"Staining furniture can bring out its rich texture. This piece is no exception. First I removed the existing orange finish down to bare wood, then I used a custom stain mixing Walnut and Graphite water based stains, both by General Finishes which enhanced the gorgeous wood grain." - Flipping Unbelievable
"I’m digging the neutral tones in this one. I really wanted to update the legs. The skirting is solid oak, so instead of adding legs, I had the husband square them off for a more modern look. I love how it turned out.   I used all General Finishes product. I started out with 2 coats of Linen and then sanded and distressed. I made a custom glaze using High Performance Topcoat + Walnut and Onyx Water Based Stains for a deep brown." - ReFabulous Finds by Christina
"The top of the table was stripped and stained and then sprayed with High Performance topcoat for durability. Lamp Black Milk Paint by General Finishes and GF Walnut Water Based Stain." - Flipping Unbelievable

"Before and after of this beautiful kitchen makeover. Did you know that stain color can be changed and made darker without removing the current finish? We used General Finishes products for this cabinet transformation by toning down the original orangey stain with Walnut water based stain and Enduro Clear Poly in gloss in a 1:4 ratio. We followed the toner process with clear Enduro poly in satin. All of the products were sprayed on using our hvlp sprayer. The results are a rich, more...

"It’s very common for my clients to want their existing table refinished, but to the same color it was before “but in new condition”. I still do the same pre work, clean and then strip but then I do my best to color match usually with mixing stains together. This was done in a mix of General Finishes Onyx and Walnut Water Based Stain. The table looks like it did when they first bought it!" - Flipping Unbelievable

"Another client owned pedestal table revived and to think, I almost passed on doing this table! I was concerned about it getting too cold in the garage, but thankfully we experienced above normal temperatures and lots of sun in November which helped greatly as well as my husband's graciousness to let this table sit inside our home for several days while I sealed it. I did use a water-based stain by General Finishes in the color Walnut rather than my typical oil-based stain, which dried so much...

Dresser turned island with storage.  A new wood top was added in General Finishes Walnut Water based stain. The base was done in Persain Blue and Dark Chocolate with High performance semigloss finish.

These "rustic" filing cabinets were recreated from a finish in a photograph, emailed to me online, and a small drawer face the client removed from her brand new desk.  The project took many layers to create such a worn, rustic finish.  These pieces make me wan to curl up with a book and a blanket next to a fire!

Cleaned with a DNA prep, these pieces were sanded and primed with BIN.  The base color coat is GF Linen, sprayed with an HVLP Titan Turbine Capspray 95.  I needed a glaze...

"Heres a tip when painting stripes  I used a bit of the General Finishes top coat to seal the tape down so that paint doesnt bleed through. Even though Im a big fan of my Edgelock Delicate Surface Tape, I didnt want to take any chances, given the amount of work I put into this piece."

Jenny of Evolution of Style says, "I have used General Finishes paints in the past, and I really love how easily they spray, and the final finish once dry. They have a great selection of colors too. Because we all want great colors, yes? I spotted Queenstown Gray with a stained wood top, on a side table in a local Woodcraft store that sells and refinish furniture, and fell in love with it. I knew it had to be mine, and would be a perfect color for this piece. ...I used the same toning...
