"I stripped the top, which is laminate, and gave it an extra heavy sand with 80 grit sandpaper. Usually 220 is sufficient but this was extra slick. The paint was adhering well to the body so I gave it a really good sand and gave the entire piece three coats of primer, checked for adhesion issues and everything was sticking. The paint color is a custom light, warm gray. I used General Finishes Snow White and Antique White in equal parts (1 cup each) and added a little Perfect Gray (1/8 cup)...
