Jenny of Rustic Roots made over this buffet with General Finishes Empire Gray Chalk Style Paint.  The details were accented with Snow White Milk Paint then topped with Champagne Pearl Effects followed by Bronze Pearl Effects.  The top was stained with Java Gel Stain and sealed with High Performance Top Coat in satin and Flat out Flat Top Coat on everything else. 

**General Finishes Chalk Style Paint has been discontinued. Replace with Empire Gray Milk Paint.

We found this amazingly rare wooden wine rack holding a mighty 56 bottles. Beautiful in wood but aged. I struggled with the wood stain verses Pearl Effects, but naturally the stunning Pearl Effects won. Painted directly onto the wood in alternate Tawny and Copper and hand distressed. I was anxious to try the new Pearl Effects. I picked out this little vanity and painted on the Burnished and dry brushed Lamp Black over the top of that, then painted the top of the vanity with Lamp Black and hand painted Magnolia blossoms in Linen and cross-hatched the Pearl Effects over that..I really like how rich and well the Pearl Effects go on! I've been having a blast using General Finishes new Pearl Effects! I painted a base coat of Millstone(Milk Paint), distressed it down some, then brushed on Champagne Pearl Effects. The result is a beautiful shimmer on my taupe chair(s). I changed it up and did a jade velveteen seat and a decorative embroidered trellis on the back.
