Patina Green

"Finished up this custom piece this week. Love how it turned out. Painted in General Finishes Milk Paint Perfect Gray and Patina Green."

Three cabinet colors in one kitchen? Why, YES, thank you!!  What a combination of colors for these 1970s kitchen cabinets! This gal is definitely not afraid of color and wanted her island to be a turquoise stunner! The upper cabinets were painted in GF white Enduro Poly in Satin. The paint was taken up past the cabinets over the old paneling to give the appearance of taller cabinets and more openness to the kitchen. Enduro custom mixed in Driftwood was the perfect color for the bottoms...

"This turned into quite the project! Our client took all of these pieces off of an old wardrobe and had them painted to be used as wall art and an artificial fireplace! What a great idea. "Here’s Mr. Peacock showing off all his beautiful colors. They do say the male displays the most vibrant colors. He’s all dressed up in many vibrant colors. I used red, teal, blue, yellow and antiquing stain on him. This poor guy had no feathers when I bought him. He had lost his backside and his top. My husband added a old wood plank to the top and a old wood beam as a backsplash. Now he’s dressed to impress! Mr Peacock also has colorful backside. I left the back off and decoupaged the...

This was a piece I'd previously painted but it just wasn't selling and I'm a firm believer that if at first you don't succeed, try again!  Pieces can be reinvented time and time again, no finish is forever.

I started with a base of GF Coastal Blue. Then used my custom mix(Patina Green, Coastal Blue, Antique White and Halcyon Blue) together with Seagull Grey to create a faux finish.  I'd already added the mouldings for the previous finish so just had to put some gold leaf on...
