"I sanded down the top and the drawer face. I’m pretty sure this is constructed of pine so I decided to burn a bit of the grain. I left the tiles intact with their original brown color because I think it went nicely with the colors in the knob and the red. The remainder was painted in General Finishes Tuscan Red. I also added a dark wax to give it an aged look. The drawer was lined with Waverly fabric and a new pumpkin knob was added to tie together all the colors."
