"This beautiful coastal dining set was originally just an ordinary table and chairs.  You know the type...orangey in color, out of style, ugly.  The top of the table was removed and I cut down different widths of wood planks to fit.  They were then sanded... and sanded some more.  Next I stained using a combination of General Finishes stains.  This combo is top secret, but I will reveal that Java, Brown Mahogany and Gray were used.  This gives the wood an old, weathered look.  I then dry...

"Words cannot fully articulate the meaning of this chest.

Brought to me broken and disheveled it represented a wife's love for her husband and his strength in protecting our country." - TJ at Crow Creek Designs

Java Gel Stain was used for this project.

"It's here! This set has taken me forever but I absolutely love it... Refinished with all premium products, which you notice I use this brand all the time because I love it. The table body and chairs have been painted with GF Antique White Milk Paint and then lightly distressed - which is great to mimic normal wear and tear. Entire set sealed with multiple coats of GF High Performance Top Coat." - Brushes To Beauty

This little dresser is a functional work of art!  The base of the dresser was painted in General Finished "Lamp Black", and lightly distressed.  It also got a "new" reclaimed wood top, which was hand-stained in a Southwestern design using 4 different GF Gel Stains: Java, Antique Walnut, Nutmeg, and Black.  The entire piece was sealed using GF high-performance satin polyacrylic for a durable finish.

This classic Hepplewhite buffet was redesigned in a deep, rich gray  -  Queenstown Gray Milk Paint by General Finishes. I have been trying out this line of paint and have been very happy with how it goes on and distresses. I rubbed back the paint to allow some of the original wood to show and the contrast is lovely. The top was sanded down and re-stained in General Finishes Java Gel Stain and finished with their Semi-Gloss Top Coat.

The inside of the drawers and cabinets are painted...

"I stripped all the material off the sides down to the frame, sanded the feet, and added the new siding... I did the best I could with the alignment and then filled in any gaps with a stainable wood filler, which worked great! I stained everything (feet and sides) in General Finishes’ Java Gel Stain (because I’m obsessed with the stuff) and finished with a couple coats of a Minwax Polyurethane. This chest is heavy-duty now!" - Restored Living

"Loving this new Industrial Table & bench! Custom stools can be added (or another bench)! Need a different size? We customize! This table was stained using General Finishes Candlelite Gel Stain, with Java Gel Stain rubbed in, sealed with High Performance Flat Topcoat. We find that Gel Stains are really effective in working color into soft woods like Fir. Letting one color dry, then using a rag to work in a darker color on top helps create this look, which is a total "wow." " - Lush•Paint...

Karin of Art Is Beauty share this fast and lovely dresser restyle!

She explains her project, "I decided since most [of the dresser's damage] was really surface scratches, I could get away with just a light sanding and then use my General Finishes Java Gel Stain on it to bring out the richness of the wood... I wanted to add a little pop of color so I chose Somerset Gold Milk Paint... When it was dry I used their High Performance Topcoat Satin to seal all of it."
