"Farmhouse inspired stools done in General Finishes Persian Blue & Snow White Milk Paint. Distressed & sealed with GF Satin HPTC (High Performance Topcoat)."
"This absolutely stunning buffet is all refreshed and ready for a new home. This lovely lady had great bones but was in desperate need of a face lift. The veneer on top was chipping away so I removed it completely and sanded the wood underneath. Gave it a fresh coat of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain, I also did the same to the lower section of this piece. The rest was painted in General Finishes Reverent Gray. The stained areas were sealed with GF High Performance Topcoat, and...
"Made with maple, ash, and white oak hardwood, this solid dresser/changing table will last through the years as the child grows up. Since it was made with real wood, the color can be changed to stay relevant with the times.   One big benefit of a custom piece of furniture is that it can be designed with dimensions to fit a particular space. This dresser was constructed a little taller than a normal three drawer dresser to make diaper changing a little easier for the parents, who both...
"The Lauren. A secretary with the IT factor! Softly and sweetly brought back to a beautiful life in General Finishes Antique White, with a warm aging glaze and High Performance Flat Finish. Insides had the old lacquer stripped down to bare wood and sealed in my favorite Arm-R-Seal. She took a good amount of time to rebuild those spindled legs, but I definitely think she was worth the wait! Salvaged as much original hardware as she came with, and improvised on the rest!"

Use Dark Chocolate Milk Paint by General Finishes to get the look of stain on surfaces that don’t stain well. This baby Jacobean Buffet had a Tulip Poplar top, which does not take stain well. I found a way around that using 2 coats of Dark Chocolate and 2 coats of High Performance Topcoat in Satin.

"This piece turned out to be a more difficult task than I originally anticipated. But it was worth it in the end! ALL veneer was removed revealing gorgeous wood (Top, sides, drawers and doors)   Left the wood in its natural state and applied several coats of General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in flat. The grain is just stunning!"    Learn more about General Finishes Water Based High Performance Topcoat in this video:...
"This piece was made between 1871 and 1900 because of the beautiful Knapp Joints on the drawers (those cute little scalloped joints in the second pic.) Knapp joints were only used for this short period of time in history. So that would make it between 120-149 years old! How cool is that?!   It is made from all solid Walnut with the exception of the burl veneer on the drawers and door front. I just couldn’t paint this beauty! It was missing it’s top so I made a new wood plank top painted...
"Painted this gorgeous nightstand in Holiday Red with black glaze, and the stripes are painted in Lamp Black. The drawers and sides are decoupaged with beautiful paper from Roycycled Treasures. Topcoated with High Performance in satin finish."
"Ladies and Gents, check out this beast we overhauled for a client. Looking best in Blue with General Finishes China Blue, and original brass hardware polished to perfection! High Performance Flat Topcoat for durability. We added 7.5" legs to lift her up off the ground and give that floating chest something to boast about!"
"A customer's inherited Teak sideboard needed to be updated to fit into their home so it's been given an Art Deco-influenced design which still leaves a fair bit of the original wood on show while transforming its look (a good compromise I think as they wanted it fully painting initially)   It was refinished with GF Milk Paint in Lamp Black and the wood enhanced and protected with Enduro Var Water Based Topcoat in Satin and paint given extra protection with High Performance Topcoat in...
"This has been quite the project! We started with changing out the doors and repairing the back. Then we refinished this large piece in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint with High Performance Flat Finish. New gold gilded hardware complete this amazing transformation!"

Beautiful bathroom vanity facelift with General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint and satin High Performance Water Based Topcoat.

This petite dresser is solid white oak! I had so many ideas on what to do with her, but after the original finish was removed I fell in love with the beautiful neutral tone of the wood!

"These nightstands actually came from a vintage kneehole style desk! My friend Greg of The Furniture Fix split the desk apart and installed a reclaimed oak top on each side.   They were refinished using Brushable White Enamel tinted to Antique White by General Finishes. To age them a bit, I applied Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. The reclaimed oak tops are stained in Antique Walnut and sealed with High Performance Satin."    Check out GF's full video library for product overview and how...

"I LOVE THIS BUFFET! I had to scrub this one for hours. It wasn't necessarily dirty, but the finish was literally washing off, so it was brutal to prep.   The top was sanded down and weathered with Weatherwood Stains, LLC Salvage layered under Restoration Reactive Stains. It is sealed with General Finishes High Performance Semi-Gloss. The body is painted with General Finishes Driftwood.   Check out the drawers! I added the re•design with prima®️ Tropical Paradise, & sealed with...

Beautiful kitchen cabinet makeover with General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and High Performance Topcoat in flat

"I'm really pleased with how this trunk came out. Our customer picked it out of our warehouse and wanted to keep the mid-century vibe with some wood showing. She picked the new General Finishes Carbon Gray Gel Stain & GF China Blue for the base.   Gray can be tricky for older woods. The top came out nicely, but the other areas struggled to take any stain - totally normal, as they probably weren't the same cut of wood. I used a mix of Fusion Mineral Paint Ash and Clear Glaze to tone...

"What do I love most about this dresser? It has built in drawer stops to ensure that the drawers don’t slide all the way out, making it perfect for a child’s room. This dresser was painted in General Finishes Reverent Gray with my Fuji Spray Hvlp spray gun for a perfectly smooth finish without brush strokes, ideal for a mid century modern look. The drawers were stripped and then sealed with High Performance Top Coat."

Then we went with a General Finishes High Performance Flat Finish and paired it with beautiful bin pulls from D. Lawless Hardware. Just the perfect combination for this modern farmhouse makeover!" - ReFind Design by Coco Clare

This Mid-Century piece was a disaster when we found it all alone, abandoned on the side of the road. Lucky for this piece, we saw that it had potential! We sanded off all of the old finish, then applied Merlot dye stain. It looked even better than we imagined! The dye stain really made the wood grain pop. We topped off the finish with three coats of High performance Semi-Gloss. This piece was totally revived thanks to a little elbow grease and the amazing products of General Finishes.

These cabinets were custom built to satisfy a unique need for our clients! They had a limited space, wanted to maximize their storage options, enjoyed clean, modern lines & needed a place to house their wine bar! These were custom designed & finished with Java Gel Stain for a gorgeous finish!

I loved the lines of this petite china cabinet but almost didn’t buy it. It was missing a glass panel and shelves and had a couple other things wrong with it. But my friend made me a good deal and challenged me to “make something cool”. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I loaded it in my car. It lingered in my studio for a long time before I knew what to do with it. Taking my cue from the architecture of the piece I decided an Indian inlay look was the way to go. Playing off the...

Her golden crown sits atop copper highlights in her hair. The Sea is a wash of watery blues and greens. She is Athena, queen of the Sea.

A 50/50 blend of General Finishes Linen and General Finishes Holiday Red, then I wet blended with Linen applying both the mix and the linen with the same brush.  The 50/50 blend was then placed in a water bottle with a 60/40 water to paint ratio, and I sprayed starting at the top of the dresser for some cool weathering and a drippy effect. General Finishes Driftwood was used for the top, I then sealed everything with with High Performance Topcoat in satin.  The IOD Transfer was applied, then...

Ahhhh.... the snow white dream kitchen! Who wouldn't love to shuffle into this beauty each morning for that perfect cup of coffee! These cabinets once boasted a stained and glazed Tuscan look, but the final stage of this kitchen transformation was painting the cabinets a beautiful pristine white.
