"I've always had a passion for art and love transforming pieces into just that. Art. My 13 year old daughter picked out 4 colors. Yes, 4. lol Why wouldn't a 13 year old do anything less. I was able to transform this gorgeous antique chest of drawers into a beatufiul work of art for her on her 13th birthday. To say she LOVES it is an understatement. "

"This beautifully layered buffet was accomplished by using only General Finishes products. I created the base coat by mixing the farmhouse green color that consists of GF Milk Paint in Basil, Dark Chocolate, Emerald, and Linen. I then dry brushed on some Buttermilk Yellow. The last coat of paint was a 50/50 mixture of the farmouse green and Antique White. I used the vaseline method of distressing to achieve the chippy look and many...

"This little beauty needed a lot of work but had great bones. The veneer on top was cracked and needed to be removed. The two cabinet doors  were cracked as well so new ones were custom made and trim added to the front. She was given a good sanding and cleaning and then stained with GF Salem from top to bottom. She was then painted with GF Lamp Black on the body. I added a coat of gel stain in Antique Walnut to the top to add...

"This walnut dropleaf table was living a life of obscurity in a local antique store.  With it's dull finish and missing a caster, it was screaming for a new life! I started by stripping the top finish off with Citristrip, then sanding the walnut wood smooth.  I hand-sanded the base and the turned legs to prep the surface for paint. The walnut top was treated with Watco Danish Oil in Natural. The legs were painted with ...

"I was really happy to find this two-piece bedroom set on Craigslist. So often the night stand and dresser have parted ways so it's always a plus to find the pair still together. The set checked off my usual criteria when selecting furniture for a redo...dove tail drawer construction, dust liners between drawer layers, and a solid build. And extra credit for super cute hardware!

After a thorough sanding, I used...

"I love painting bold so when my friend asked for a custom buffet I was pretty excited that she chose General Finishes Apricot Chalk Style Paint.  I applied three costs of paint, wanting very solid coverage.  The top of the buffet was sanded and I applied two coats of General Finishes Java Gel Stain.  I also added a bit of Java Gel Stain in the detailing.  I used General Finishes water based top coat on...

The barn wood seat was stained with an oil based stain that allowed the wear marks and old stains to show through, then was sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. The rest of the bench was painted with GF Milk Paint, Antique White, then distressed, to highlight the details, and then clear waxed." - Garage 9

"Loving this new Industrial Table & bench! Custom stools can be added (or another bench)! Need a different size? We customize! This table was stained using General Finishes Candlelite Gel Stain, with Java Gel Stain rubbed in, sealed with High Performance Flat Topcoat. We find that Gel Stains are really effective in working color into soft woods like Fir. Letting one color dry, then using a rag to work in a darker color on top helps create this look, which is a total "wow." " - Lush•Paint...

"A true trash to treasure - this vintage desk was rescued from the curb after it had been sitting in the rain!

She explains her project, "I decided since most [of the dresser's damage] was really surface scratches, I could get away with just a light sanding and then use my General Finishes Java Gel Stain on it to bring out the richness of the wood... I wanted to add a little pop of color so I chose Somerset Gold Milk Paint... When it was dry I used their High Performance Topcoat Satin to seal all of it."
