"I found Serena languishing in a local thrift store. She was built in my local area nearly 100 years ago. Her existing finish was alligator scaly and she was missing veneer in a lot of places. This is the second dresser I chose to tackle and I envisioned I could transform her back to glory with some paint and glaze.

This little dresser is a functional work of art! The base of the dresser was painted in General Finished "Lamp Black", and lightly distressed. It also got a "new" reclaimed wood top, which was hand-stained in a Southwestern design using 4 different GF Gel Stains: Java, Antique Walnut, Nutmeg, and Black. The entire piece was sealed using GF high-performance satin polyacrylic for a durable finish.
