Antique desk and chair painted in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint
"The bottom drawer was trash so a new wood shelf was installed in its place. Trimmed rattan added to the door fronts after I removed the damaged veneer. Then fully sanded and painted in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint. The shelf and top have been stained in Mocha and sealed for protection. Plus brand new hardware! This beauty got a full makeover!" - Paws in the Paint
"What do I love about this set? Well, for one… the antique colonial style chairs!! This set features two captain’s and two brace back (hard to find) chairs. They, like the table, are absolute solid oak and as sturdy as they come. The table top is gorgeous! Constructed in a butcher block fashion and is… I’ll say it again, SOLID OAK.
I refinished the chairs in a slightly weathered Lamp Black by General Finishes because this style chair just feels extra beautiful in classy black. The table top...
"Vintage Drexel buffet. This piece was updated using General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black. It was lightly distressed and sealed with their High Performance Top Coat in Flat. Some of the original hardware was missing, so I replaced it with vintage-look library pulls." - Garage 9 v2
"Vintage dresser by Owosso Furniture. I’ve never heard of this brand so I looked it up. The dresser is solid wood and very nicely made. Turns out they are a very high end company and one article said other companies, including I believe it was Thomasville and Bassett, aspired to make as good quality furniture as Owosso did!
Solid wood, sturdy, drawers work well and have all wood drawer boxes and dovetail joinery.

"Meet Adeline. This piece is really quite old. Solid oak. Painted in Lamp Black by General Finishes and a tissue paper with a botanical print was used to decoupage the top and bottom. On the underside, a name, handwritten in cursive. Adeline. I didn’t have the heart to paint over it…the bottom was left exactly as I found it. It is part of its story." - REmade

"Finished up another little custom order for another return customer. This end table is OLD and the before picture doesn't really do it justice but it was in very rough shape. Gorgeous, vintage 9 drawer dresser by American of Martinsville. This baby is looooong! It’s in great condition, with 9 solid oak, dovetailed drawers that work properly. The body of the dresser is made of wood and engineered materials. There are antique brass caps on the front legs. 6 visible drawers with the middle doors that open to reveal the remaining 3 drawers.

I have to admit I’m more accustomed to black or blue but I’m in love with this green and now I see why so many of you love these green tones. Check out my reel to see the before of this orange oak buffet. I’m so happy with the result and I’m loving the new door fronts and more modern base. This buffet has ample storage inside and would work great as a side table, console or coffee bar as well.

"We had this Uber ugly Thomasville buffet base….. it was a China cabinet and we ditched the top completely. We pulled off all that scrolly trim and sanded out every square inch of that body. Up on 4” steel feet for the needed height. Voila! There she is! General Finishes Millstone in a wash to neutralize that oak! GF Lamp Black on the doors. Sealed in High Performance Topcoat satin." - Restoration Reserve
"A whole lotta work went into this before & after! Top was gross shiny laminate so I made a new one with lathe strips stained in Early American. Painted in layers of General Finishes Perfect Gray, Lamp Black and glaze, then distressed to give the finish some depth and texture." - Elm Street Designs
"Joy to the World! A super, simple, thrifted, holiday decor idea!! I made my stencil for this project, using my Cricut machine. I clear coated the globe first then once dried, I place the stencil on and clear coated again. Once that dried, I painted on the message (two coats). I chose my favorite, go-to black by General Finishes called Lamp Black. Once that dried, I put on another clear coat of GF water based High Performance Topcoat." - REmade
"Purchased this cabinet from an old medical supply store. It’s solid wood and just awesome but needed some TLC. The top wasn’t attached and was split into two pieces. It was missing a back and the sides had about 157 nails in them.
Built a new top with a mosaic pattern and stained in walnut. Sides had wood lathe planks added. New base with metal feet were added. Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black and slightly distressed."

"As part of our living room makeover this antique dresser chest from the 1800’s that I love so much got a little makeover of its own!
From the day I found this piece a few years ago I haven’t done anything to it, I loved it as is. But the new color tones of our living room left it looking very orange so I knew it needed a little updating and I am very happy with its new look in our new space. "I started this one by sanding the gloss off and giving it an uneven wood look by sanding some areas more than others. I wanted to give this piece an elegant style but still keep a rustic farmhouse look. I used a stain and paint combo. I hand painted light coats of General Finishes Lamp Black, distressing in between each coat. My final coat was a black/brown glaze I made with my seal, paint and stain." - ReFabulous Finds by Christina
"Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black (she's more black than she appears), lightly distressed, and sealed in GF High Performance Topcoat in satin followed by Flat Out Flat Topcoat, this piece is timeless." - Red Geranium Restorations
The piece was originally a dated orange color pine dresser…My original plan was to strip it down and finish it in a natural wood look but the wood didn’t look how I wanted it to so instead I decided would give it a very worn black finish!
I painted it in General Finishes Lamp Black the gave the piece a heavy distressing to make it look 100 years old then sealed it up in matte top coat and added all new hardware to give it the card catalog look then added a set of metal legs to give the piece...
"Lately it seems like all I paint is black…but I’m okay with that because it’s such a great color! My client wanted this dresser in Lamp Black by General Finishes. I had to do a lot of stripping to remove the previous paint job which was not properly prepped and covered in thick brush strokes. Once I had that finish removed and made a mold for the missing trim, it was ready for primer and paint! I love how this one turned out." - Flipping Unbelievable
