About This Post
Westminster Green by @generalfinishes may be my new favorite color!
If you’ve been following my stories you know that I’ve been working on this bar cabinet for a few months as an anniversary gift to my husband.
It’s not often I get to complete a piece we get to keep but when I do I try to make it count!
I did A LOT of sanding on the scroll work and the shelves which probably took the most time out of everything on this piece. I bleached the shelves and the scroll work to remove some of the red tone then did a beige wash in Bedford by Fusion.
I also carefully removed the scroll work on the top that dated the piece.
Here’s a list of products I used to achieve this classic look!
Spoonflower wallpaper in Art Deco Swans by @katerhees
Dixie Belle Gold Gilding wax on shelf detail
Westminster Green milk paint by @generalfinishes
Raw silk by @fusionmineralpaint on interior and under shelves and Bedford wash over the raw wood
Varathane Satin top coat
I couldn’t be happier to call this beauty ours!
