Medium Brown Dye Stain Dresser

About This Post

"This antique walnut empire style dresser has beautiful hand cut dovetail joints dating it to the mid 1800’s, almost 200 years old! I found this gem in a local thrift store and the curves and grain took my breath away. Too beautiful to sit in my basement it found a home as is in my foyer. Well last week I decided it was time to totally revive her and give her a second life (or third, fourth, fifth...)! I used General Finishes Dye Stain in Medium Brown on the top and drawer fronts to bring this stunning wood grain back to life. The body was then painted in Driftwood with a dry brushing of both brown and black glaze. I blended all the colors together to achieve this beautiful aged look." - Nap Time Creations
