Gel Stained Stenciled Table

About This Post

"Using my DEWALT orbital sander, I carefully uncovered this beautifully textured grain. To ensure clean lines and that no paint mistakenly ended up on top, I use painters tape- a lot of it! I like being able to freely paint without worry. I used Annie Sloan’s Athenian Black with Annie Sloan’s clear wax to seal the paint. This is my go-to paint because of how rich the black is. Carefully, I taped the stencil to the table top. I used General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain for the design. I dipped the dauber in the stain, wiped the excess, began tapping and took it section by section. Melanie at The Painted Bench provided guidance on how to achieve the look. Once completed, the whole top was sealed with three coats of GF High Performance Topcoat.    Learn more about stenciling with GF Gel Stain in this video: https://gf.video/Gel-Stained-Stenciled-Table
