About This Post
"A simple wood dresser underneath layers of latex paint, and some other kind of original stain. I could see it’s potential from the moment I saw it.
I peeled off as much of the latex as I could and sanded the rest (including the original stain). The grain that came out just made my heart so excited. I used General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain for the drawers and sealed with the Gel Topcoat. The frame was chalk painted using Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey. Even though I filled the holes before staining, I didn’t love how they looked with the stain. So I covered them with cup pulls that I ordered from Amazon.
The simplest of dressers can be updated with just a little stain and paint. I love seeing the transformation!" - Kristin Lia
