About This Post
"I’m very excited to share this chest I restored for my friend. I did some research on it, and it was made in 1933 by the Rockford Cedar Furniture company, and has been in my friend’s family for generations. She remembers playing on it as a child. It had all the scratches and wear to show for it! I was thrilled to be able to restore it to its former glory, and update it with accents of black to fit in with modern decor. The top was finished with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain; the accents are Dixie Belle Paint Company Caviar. The whole piece was top coated for durability with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat, in satin."
