About This Post
"A sidewalk sale find turned into a soft and inviting dresser! The top left a lot to be desired but I couldn’t pass up this gorgeous Art Deco waterfall dresser.
I started by thoroughly cleaning the piece and sanding the top and drawers. That wood that I uncovered is seriously unbelievable. Using General Finishes Winter White Glaze Effects, I applied one coat, left for a couple minutes and then wiped off. The whitewashed look the glaze achieves is perfection. Three coats of GF High-Performance Topcoat in Satin make the finish completely durable.
The frame was painted using Fusion Mineral Paint’s Bayberry. The coverage of this paint is incredible! The paint was sealed using Annie Sloan’s clear wax.
I love taking a tired piece and making it beautiful again!" - Kristin Lia Restoration
