Completely restyled vintage pine furniture. GF Onyx water based stain with extender and GF satin topcoat. Sprayed with 2 coats of stain (did not wipe off) and 2 coats of topcoat. Perfectly even coverage and grain shows nicely.
Followed the GF prep; clean clean clean, light sanding. No finish removal.
"This solid mahogany dresser from Drexel is stamped circa 1962 and is amazingly well constructed! The wall this is going on are a beautiful green blue so we decided to go with pure white. I used General Finishes Brushable White Enamel with a satin finish and stained the top with a water based stain called Graphite. New hardware from D. "This 6 drawer antique piece received a full refinish in deep GF Tobacco Water Based Stain.
Stunning hand applied three dimensional raised floral finish added to all 6 drawer fronts with an antique wash of General Finishes Lamp Black on the floral followed by slight hand rubbing of GF Black Gel Stain to "age" and deepen some areas to allow the beautiful wood tones to show through."
I mixed a little GF Graystone waterbased stain with Tobacco to lighten it a smidge on this piece. The paint on this piece is GF’s Brushable White Enamel.
