I was anxious to try the new Pearl Effects. I picked out this little vanity and painted on the Burnished and dry brushed Lamp Black over the top of that, then painted the top of the vanity with Lamp Black and hand painted Magnolia blossoms in Linen and cross-hatched the Pearl Effects over that..I really like how rich and well the Pearl Effects go on! "To help pull out the bubblegum blue of the candy jars, I dry brushed General Finishes Corinth Blue over the entire base. I finished up by adding some subtle distressing and sealing with Arm-R-Seal since it needs to stand up to kiddos (and adults) helping themselves to all that yummy candy."

Loving this grain sack stripe bench by Farm Fresh Homestead! I started out by sanding the wood (the wood portion is all one piece that comes off the metal legs). Then I painted the wood white (General Finishes Antique White) and used tape to make my stripes and painted with charcoal (Americana Décor Relic). For the metal legs I just spray painted with Rustoluem gray. I used two coats of color and one coat of clear lacquer. In one evening I had a “brand new” bench!
