Angela of Number Fifty-Three created this unique shabby painted dresser. The body was painted with GF Snow White Milk Paint and the drawers got Seagull Gray Milk Paint. As soon as the paint dried Angela distressed it to give it a worn look and the top was stained with the ever popular GF Java Gel Stain.
Brepurposed created these lovely French Script Two Toned End Tables. The top edges and drawers were stained with GF Brown Mahogany Gel Stain. The legs and top were painted dark gray and the stenciling was applied. We recommend GF Queenstown Gray for a similar look.

Cassie of Primitive & Proper found this vintage desk at a yard sale and decided to give it a new look. She gave it a light sanding and stained the top with GF Java Gel Stain. The base was painted with 2 coats of GF Coastal Blue Milk Paint. For protection and durability Cassie used our water based High Performance Top Coat in flat. The finished look is great! As of now, this piece is still available at Sweet Clover. Hurry in and give him a new home!

Reeves at The Weathered Door created this very informative post on using Gel Stain over an existing finish! Reeves says, "I think one misconception is that you have to strip and sand a piece down to bare wood before you can re-stain it. Sometimes that is necessary, but if you have a piece without much of a topcoat (sealer, poly, etc.) and the finish is in good shape, you can go over it with a gel stain." Big congrats to Diane of The Paint Factory! Her vanity was featured on Stylish Patina as the before and after project of the week! Cottage Paints refinished this cute western table using General Finishes Java Gel Stain topped with High Performance Topcoat. The bottom was painted in GF's Holiday Red Milk Paint and dry brushed with GF's Lamp Black and Tuscan Red Milk Paints!
