This absolutely stunning Vintage Secretary Desk has been handpainted with my custom made chalk paint recipe using Sherwin Williams Arrid Sands. I then meticulously glazed this beauty using Black Antiquing Glaze. All exposed wood has been stained using General Finishes Java Gel Stain. 18k Gold Leaf has been applied to all hardware. This Modern Majestic Masterpiece was found at a garage sale where the owner practically wanted to pay me to take it. These cabinets original finish was a pickled whitewash. We completely changed the look of the entire kitchen by applying 3 coats of java gel stain and three coats of General finishes satin polyurethane . This kitchen went from dated to modern and gorgeous !! These products never let me down.

I love how Douglas Fir looks after applying GF Java stain. The reddish undertones from the Douglas Fir really blend well with the Java colour. This table was created by taking a full Douglas Fir slab, splitting it down the middle and splicing in another Douglas Fir slab to reach the clients desired width.
