Basically, no matter the size and scope of a remodeling project, chances are that you’ll have at least a somewhat difficult and stressful time during it. The number of contractors and people in general in your home might make you beyond nervous and the fact that everything will look worse before it starts looking better won’t help with the anxiety.
Add to everything mentioned previously the fact that your entire home will be covered in dust and debris, which will definitely make you...
This unique oval desk with the burlwood top begged for the burlwood desktop to be the star of the show, and man o man, is it ever! To play up it's stunning beauty, I chose to downplay this uniquely-shaped desk's "body" with a 50/50 blend of General Finishes Bone White Chalk Paint and General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint...a perfect blend, in my humble opinion. The body is finished off in three coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin. But the real stunner of this...
The french countryside came calling when this piece was transformed from a china hutch to a french-infused multi-purpose etagere. Using a 50/50 mix of GF Chalk White and GF Chapin Gray on the body, with the detailing done in GF Chalk White and Modern Masters metallic paint bringing life and vibrance to the carved florals, the colors in this piece are reminiscent of traditional country french furniture of old. This piece is now enjoying new life!
"Words cannot express how incredibly in love with this dresser we are! It went from a complete sticky mess, bound for the trash, to an amazing one of a kind piece for our home! We painted it in the most lovely Midnight Blue by General Finishes and added new metal hairpin legs to complete the farmhouse industrial look." - A Ray of Sunlight

Can't get enough of "The Finicky Fox Buffet" by Stephanie of Rehab to Fab!
"This antique buffet has gotten a HUGE makeover. The entire top needed to be replaced. So I built a new top and stained with multiple layers of stain to get the dimension I was looking for. The body was painted in General Finishes Limestone & Chalk White Chalk style paint. Limestone is a beautiful mix of gray & tan.
It needed just one more unique touch, so I grabbed IOD's new Fox Transfer. I rubbed on...

Loving this cool blue transformation by Lindsey Vogel Design LLC!
Lindsey says, "For this makeover I used General Finishes Chalk Style paint in Chalk White and Summertime Blue with a light coat of Van Dyke Brown Glaze on the drawer fronts and sides. I began with 1 coat of white, then added 2 coats of blue and distressed back a bit before coming back & painting the edging details in white."
