"This was a good 10 hours of scrapping and sanding to remove all the layers of paint on this one but I’m thrilled with the results. General Finishes products were used in this project: Antique walnut Gel stain and High Performance Topcoat in satin which was sprayed for a flawless finish." - Paint and Hammer
"Sometimes pieces really put me thru my paces but when they turn out this beautiful, it is worth it! Originally discussed staining the entire piece but after painstakingly removing the top layer of veneer on the top of the dresser that was pretty severely damaged, we realized the wood underneath was not pretty and no matter how much sanding I did, it did not look good stained so we pivoted and decided to paint the frame and stain the drawers. Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black and stained...
"After LOTS of sanding and several rounds of chemicals we got down to a clean slate. We stained it in General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain for the base and Java Gel Stain for the top. We kept the original knobs on the two drawers in the middle but picked out some new drop handles for the other drawers to really tie it all together!" - Upcycling by Amy

"We just love when we get rare vintage pieces into the shop. This original Broyhill Premier buffet from the Saga series came into the shop last week, and we knew there was no other option than to completely restore it back to its original condition. Some pieces just aren’t meant to be painted!
It was stripped down before being restored with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain. The original hardware was refinished to give it that classic Saga series walnut/gold look. Everything was then...

"As you can see in the 'before' photo this piece had MULTIPLE layers of paint and had cracked over the whole piece. Also the panel on the right door was completely cracked almost all the way up the door.
So first we had to remove as much of the paint as possible with sanding snd chemicals (this was the bulk of the work honestly) and we also removed the top, broken door panel and the shelves.
We then added in new door panels and and created the new shelves and top. The piece was primed and...

"This piece came to me as quite a mess... the wallpaper inside the hutch would have been a big hurdle on its own but include that with the 5 layers of paint underneath it, the random can lid that was permanently adhered inside the lower cabinet and the tacks on almost every shelf under all the paint.
I didn't really know what I was getting into but I got into it pretty darn quick. It took over two weeks of sanding, peeling wallpaper, scraping chemicals off on repeat to get it to a point that...

These two tables came to me in great condition other then some scuffs and old spilled paint stains on top. After they were all dried I gave them a good coat of dark wax to help protect them and keep away fingerprints. The tops were sealed in gf’s high performance top coat. Hardware was left original...

"TA-DA This beast is all done and back at his home! This was Maria's grandparents piece and she wanted to just give it a good refresh to bring it into their home. After wrestling with the doors more times than I care to admit to try to get them off the tracks, only to have come to the conclusion that they were built into the piece. This did complicate things a bit but I worked around it. Sanded down inside and out, primed and painted in General Finishes Snow White and stained in General...
