This pantry door was SO FUN to paint... and it was also for my own kitchen (YAY!) so I could reallly get creative with it! It’s actually “half” of a French door set that I found at our local Habitat ReStore.... and what do you know, it was the EXACT size of our pantry door... easy swap!!!
It all started with a coat of “Costal Blue”... I was going to distress and stop there... but since I was keeping it for myself, I decided to have a little bit of fun! I started getting carried away...

This antique secretary was lovely as is, just a bit dated. With the faux barnwood finish, I was able to give it a fresh new look that perfectly complements my clients space!
These Mexican Pine cabinets were rescued at different times, and slightly varied styles. Once cleaned up and stained with GF Java Gel stain (the rustic part), we decided to have some fun on the front with a bit of copper patina (the chic part). Using Modern Masters Metal Effects copper paint and patina solution, and some bubble wrap for the "hammered copper" effect, the front and side panels were completely transformed.
This stunning Media Console will be the perfect focal point in your home! Painted in a gypsy teal with hand crafted brown stained barn doors. The barn doors slide, giving you several looks in one. What once was a dresser has now been transformed into a modern console table. The dresser drawers were removed on each side and open shelving was created. The top of the piece has also been stained in a dark Java stain, coordinating with the barn doors. A wonderful, functioning, rustic piece...
Any French Provincial piece is stunning on it's own but adding paints and glazes can bring out its curves and details! After looking at this piece for sometime as it took up the majority of space in our dining room I finally decided on breaking out of the norm of the white distressed base with a stained top and went for blends and washes of different grays. Everyone in the house was happy that a decision was finially made and I was no longer second guessing my decision!

The french countryside came calling when this piece was transformed from a china hutch to a french-infused multi-purpose etagere. Using a 50/50 mix of GF Chalk White and GF Chapin Gray on the body, with the detailing done in GF Chalk White and Modern Masters metallic paint bringing life and vibrance to the carved florals, the colors in this piece are reminiscent of traditional country french furniture of old. This piece is now enjoying new life!
COLOR RECIPE
Fun and functional, this Mid-Century three drawer dresser pops with color and style! It was rescued from a bike repair shop, found when looking at another piece of furniture. It was in pieces and had extensive damage. It was painted in a very safe grey and black, but was virtually ignored for months so another makeover was due! Multiple colors were used to create a mod geometric pattern reminiscent of this era. The entire piece is covered in the best top coat on the market, General Finishes...
"This antique 1940's era solid wood Duncan Phyfe style dresser has been hand painted in a beautiful aqua color for a bright, fun new look. The custom color was created using blended layers of General Finishes Chalk Style Paints in Key West Blue, Bone White, and Summertime Blue to accent the beautiful bow front shape. It is lightly distressed on the edges and sealed with Annie Sloan white wax, clear wax, and black wax for shading. The elegant carvings on the sides are highlighted using silver...
"Remember the video of us staining the top of this piece with General Finishes Pewter Dye Stain? Well here is the finished product and we love it. It’s also painted using General Finishes Nantucket Green Chalk Style Paint and glazed using Pitch Black Glaze Effects." - Belle Maison

"As soon as I saw this dresser I knew I wanted to give her gold accents and show off her beautiful wood grain drawers and I love the finished look. General Finishes Queenstown Gray is definitely my favorite gray! It’s so rich and I love how the gold gilding wax just pops off of the dark gray. The drawers were stripped and sanded then re-stained in General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain then several coats of GF Arm R Seal. The rest of the piece has several coats of GF poly and Annie Sloan...
Absolutely lovely dresser in GF Antique White Milk Paint by Kenzie Lynn Designs.
What Sweet Pea lacks in stature, she makes up in character and details. Our goal was to finish this beauty while also honoring her age and beauty.
This rare antique chest of drawers was finished by lightly sanding the burl wood drawer fronts and turned legs and painting the body in Antique White. Slight distressing was added & polyurethane applied over the entire piece.

"I’m usually a gray and black person but for this piece I wanted a warm and fun color. Buttermilk Yellow Milk Paint was just the color for the job. I love it and it complements the decorative paper on the middle drawers perfectly." - KimG Design
This Oak dresser was given this shabby chic cottage look using Seagull Gray on the base of the piece and driftwood on the drawers. After sealing the whole thing with Enduro clear poly we got the sander out and let it do the rest. I loved the way it turned out. We finished it off with one more coat of Flat out Flat and added the rope pulls to really give it the shabby farmhouse look we were going for!
This little beauty has had quite the transformation. First our followers helped us choose the color & ultimately decided on General Finishes Milk Paint in Basil Green. We used Antique White for the highlights & the results were good, but it felt a little unfinished. A quick shadowing with General Finishes Pitch Black Glaze added some incredible dimension & was the perfect finishing touch!!" - Captiva Home Decor
"Queenstown Gray you are my new fav color!! This desk looks so handsome in these colors by General Finishes. Painted in Queenstown Gray and the top was stained with Java Gel Stain. Sealed all over with HPTC in Satin!" - Designs by Willow Farms
"This is just the most incredible buffet! The gorgeous quarter sewn oak had been stained in General Finishes Java, a rich warm brown. New vintage style knobs, a black and white floral papered interior, and the velvet lined drawers make this truly one of a kind." - ReFind Design by Coco Clare
"This desk had seen better days when I acquired it. I loved the lines, the look, and oh... the legs! I wanted to go a little bolder with it, but not too bold that someone who was a more neutral decorator couldn't appreciate... It was painted in Somerset Gold Milk Paint, which is the perfect mustard yellow, and accented with Java Gel Stain." - VintagelessJules
