"One of my favorite things is when a client gives me an inspiration picture for the furniture she wants me to makeover. It was fun to layer all the colors to get just the right depth and texture for this entry table. I used General Finishes paint in Perfect Gray, Queenstown Gray, Snow White, Seagull Gray, mixed a few combinations in between, and did a subtle white wash over it all. I love how it turned out!

The table top and chair seats were first painted in General Finishes Seagull Gray and then I applied Graystone water based stain. Working with transfers is becoming one of my favorite things to do. This dresser was painted in Driftwood Gray for the base and Seagull Gray for the drawers. I stained the top in Java Gel. I added the transfer to the front to take the piece to the next level. It came out perfectly.
This piece is definitely in my top 3 of favorite pieces I have ever done. The minute I picked up the dresser I knew I wanted to use a transfer on it. I found the new colored transfers and fell in love with the design. I painted the base in a deep gray, Queenstown Gray, painted the drawers in Seagull Gray, light enough to make the transfer pop. The transfer was the crowning glory. It looks perfect with the chosen colors. After sanding the top I felt a stain was needed to show off the...

This Faux wood finish was created by a base coat of Seagull Gray milk paint, dry brushed on Antique Walnut Gel Stain, then a white and brown glaze! I literally made this finish up by getting out all my products out, giving them a good stare for about 30 minutes, then a little trial and error. End result was a happy client!

This pantry door was SO FUN to paint... and it was also for my own kitchen (YAY!) so I could reallly get creative with it! It’s actually “half” of a French door set that I found at our local Habitat ReStore.... and what do you know, it was the EXACT size of our pantry door... easy swap!!!
It all started with a coat of “Costal Blue”... I was going to distress and stop there... but since I was keeping it for myself, I decided to have a little bit of fun! I started getting carried away...
Any French Provincial piece is stunning on it's own but adding paints and glazes can bring out its curves and details! After looking at this piece for sometime as it took up the majority of space in our dining room I finally decided on breaking out of the norm of the white distressed base with a stained top and went for blends and washes of different grays. Everyone in the house was happy that a decision was finially made and I was no longer second guessing my decision!
