About This Post
"This is a handmade parlor guitar built for my son for his 9th birthday. The guitar components are:
Built from Parlor Guitar plan made by Scott Antes. Back and sides are Padauk. Top is Bearclaw Sitka. Ebony and Maple binding and purfling scheme. Honduran Mahogany neck. Gotoh GNS1 Tuners. Standard Parlor case w/ custom plate from a local trophy shop.
I am a relatively new builder and build guitars as a hobby. This was a special build for me because it was for my son who was turning 9 this month. He had outgrown his Junior sized guitar and was ready for something new. The build took about 4 months total. The finish is Endurovar - Satin and buffed using Menzerna compounds up to Atol 6. The finish was sprayed on using an Earlex sprayer." - Brad Combs
