"I hardly recognize this piece. This was a complete revival from head to toe for this jam cupboard. I just love the interior shelves and how the rough sawn markings are now exposed. It took a can of stripper and several sanding pads but I could not be more surprised and pleased with the final results. Good bye to the “big green giant”. Hello soft and natural wood tones. "A simple wood dresser underneath layers of latex paint, and some other kind of original stain. I could see it’s potential from the moment I saw it. I used General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain for the drawers and sealed with the Gel Topcoat. The frame was chalk painted using Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey. Even though I filled the holes before...

No question this is a beautiful buffet.  With great carvings and detail work.  And it has it's flaws; although quite minor and cosmetic.

I really wanted to embrace the British Colonial era, and I knew I wanted to focus more on the finish of the body, rather than the center image transfer.

I think, on this piece, the image transfer is secondary.  And because of that, I choose to mute the image.

My aim when working on a piece of furniture is never to make it look '...

I fell in love with this piece and wanted to give it a modern spin, but keep the natural beauty of the wood.

I painted the body stain blocker and snow white milk paint.  After sanding the wood I loved the natural wood and the different colors that showed with each drawers so I just sealed with with Gel poly and the ombre' wood colors came to life.

"Another black and wood beauty! I absolutely love this color trend and think it suits this buffet perfectly! I had so much fun playing around with the design when deciding which parts to paint and where to show off the wood grain. I think the end result looks super sophisticated and classy. The body is hand painted in General Finishes Black Pepper Chalk Style Paint and sealed with Annie Sloan black wax. The top was stripped down to raw wood then stained in a mix of Antique Walnut and Java Gel...

"Newly reupholstered Queen Anne style chair, completely restored using General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain and wipe on polyurethane.

I thought the drawers for this dresser were a perfect candidate for something bold, like a colorblock. Unfortunately the dresser needed a lot of work before I could carry on with my vision. I rebuilt the top and sealed the body with General Finishes Stainblocker before painting it with Antique White Milk Paint. I used Lamp Black Milk Paint on the bottom drawers and refinished he rest of the drawers with Antique Walnut Gel Stain. I loved how it turned out and I can't wait to recreate this...

"This one is on hold but I thought I would share photos of her anyway. She's another beauty! When you paint (perfect) lines on furniture, it really doubles the time of your work, but the time it takes can be well worth it. She looks black but this one is a custom colour of General Finishes Coastal Blue and Lamp Black which turned out to be a dark navy colour. I really love it. Reminds me of ink and navy always looks dazzling next to brass. As a topcoat I used GF's Oil Based Gel Urethane Topcoat...
