Persian Blue Dresser Restyle

About This Post

We adore this Persian Blue dresser restyle by Bonnie of Revolutionaries! Bonnie used Persian Blue Milk Paint, Van Dyke Brown Glaze, and High Performance Topcoat in Flat. Here's what Bonnie had to say, "All of these products are water based which means easy water clean up! I did two coats of Persian Blue... yes, just two! For a piece so dark, two coats = insanity... I rarely use glazes or waxes, so I was a bit nervous trying the Van Dyke Brown Glaze, but after I felt like it was a fairly simple process. You brush it on, you wipe it off -- pretty easy! It makes such a huge difference, too! Not only does it tone down the color a bit, but it really highlights all of the details of the piece. If you're nervous about using a glaze (like I was), watch this video from General Finishes on How to Apply Glaze Effects: http://bit.ly/1u8ZgYV I adore the flat top coat because it doesn't have a lot of sheen and it dries beautifully (even if you hand paint it)."
