Absolutely stunning buffet by Julie McDowell - Design Artist!
"To say this was a labour of love would be an understatement. I have hand embossed every surface of this beast. I used different stencils and used Durhams Wood Putty to create a very flat raised stencil. It was then sanded down to make it very smooth but still raised. General Finishes Holiday Red as my base coat, GF Pearl Effects in Burnished and GF Van Dyke Glaze applied without a top coat on the pearl. Three coats of GF...

"When I saw Refurbished Gentleman, LLC post a bombay chest he did in his Hammered Copper technique I knew I wanted to try it. Lucky for me, he did a tutorial for a group I'm in. Then the search was on for the right piece. I found it back in November and slowly started working on it when I had time. I'm thrilled to say, he's done....and he's available! Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black and Copper Pearl Effects." - A Touch of Whimsy

"Glamorous, Sophisticated and Metallic! Those three adjectives describe this French vanity (circa 1910-1920) with tri-fold mirror and 3 drawers. To get this look, I first painted all over in French Linen, then I dry brushed General Finishes Argentine Pearl Effects and antiqued using GF Pitch Black Glaze and then top coated for protection, adding some silver gilding wax for extra shine." - Buttercup's Painted Cottage

This finish was inspired and created in anticipation of the Solar Eclipse of 2017. Like the upcoming celestrial event, warmth and light shimmer through darkess at varying degrees across the surface. The circular design on the doors of this 1920's Art Deco Buffet mimic the sun and moon making it...

"I'm seriously obsessed with this desk. I can't remember the last time I loved something so much! Painted in Fusion Mineral Paint Seaside, with Homestead Blue shading, then washed with General Finishes Coastal Blue. She has an upwards General Finishes Somerset Gold and Burnished Pearl Effects ombre. Sealed with General Finishes High Performance Flat, I added Fusion Mineral Paint Aging Wax to give her a vintage feel. The old hardware was gross, so I splurged on these fantastic pulls." - Flipping...
This ole gal was so sad and missing a mirror. With lots of luck one was found and now "Isn't she Lovely"❤The entire thing was cleaned and old finish sanded off the top. Vanity and mirror painted in General Finishes Driftwood then white washed in in pure white and wiped off but left in crevices. Then the bling begins!!! Foil adhesive applied randomly on edges, legs and designs so that the silver leaf looks like it is peeling off. Amazing!!!!
Drawers lined in gray velvet , a surprise...
