Pecan

We absolutely love the transformation of our latest flip. This old, outdated mid century piece came into the shop last month in desperate need of a facelift. We decided to put all of our cards on the table and go all-in on a complete overall. Originally a low dresser from the 1960’s, this piece is now versatile enough to fit in almost every room in your house. It can be used as a dresser, buffet, credenza, or entertainment / tv stand. After stripping everything down to the original veneer...
"Closet/wardrobe in maple stained with General Finishes water based Pecan. A couple goals of this was to try to match the existing bamboo hamper color and to make sure the hamper would fit inside. I made it in sections to maximize inside dimensions vs tilting one tall cabinet which would have cost about 3” in usable height." - Flannel & Sawdust

"Solid Oak Honeycomb shelves. These ended up looking great and I am exciited to see them up in their new spot! Stained with General Finishes Pecan and finished in General Finishes Arm-R- Seal Semi-Gloss for protection and that beautiful shine. I gave this finish a big ol Thumbs Up and so should you!!"

Life is about finding joy in the everyday things, like a comfy AND stylish SWIVEL stool!

"This solid oak dining set was the sturdiest furniture I’ve had the pleasure of working on yet. When I looked for signs of craftsmanship I found out that it was built in Yugoslavia, which I found interesting and made it even more special to refinish! Once I got to work, I discovered that the wood pattern beneath the old finish was so symmetrical it was almost uncanny, and exposing it gave the table a fresh, updated look. All pieces were sanded down to natural wood, stained with General Finishes...

This table is over 100 years old but built solid and in great shape and will probably last another 100 years, which is what I love about antique furniture! This particular piece was brought to me from a client who had it in their family from generations and at one point was covered in linoleum! Stripped down to its natural state, refinished in Pecan water based stain and then multiple layers of top coat brought this table back to life!

Loving these unique handcrafted fold out stools from Jeff at Antiques Made to Order (http://hornejs.shawwebspace.ca/). These stools were made from Oak and stained with General Finishes Water Based Stain in Pecan. Jeff says, "This folding step-stool is the most popular item that I make."
