"Here are more gorgeous stained chairs. These were stained in onyx by General Finishes. These are just 4 of 6 along with a huge gorgeous table stained the same. You can find these same pieces and more unfinished furniture at Four Sisters Furniture & Custom Framing. They can be custom finished in stain or paint." - Sweet Blossom Chic Furniture and Decor
"A little late in sharing, but I was able to refinish this dining room table for a client just in time for their Thanksgiving celebrations! I disassembled the table in order to make it easier to strip everything. After removing the old finish and stain completely, I combined two General Finishes Water Based Stains (Onyx and Walnut) for a dark brown color. I sealed everything with High Performance Top Coat for durability and put it all back together. Love the new look!" - Flipping Unbelievable...
"What to do with an empty nook? Add built-ins! The customer provided this unfinished oak cabinets and we did the shelving. Stained General Finishes Onyx Water Based Stain and the countertop piece was left natural. A great mix of materials and colors makes this a one of kind piece!" - Reclaimed Michigan of Waterford Township, MI
"This is why I love my job. My client brought this to me because it was her grandfather’s toolbox. It was old and worn, and even still had some tools in it! But she wanted to keep it for sentimental purposes. I gave this piece a good scrub, removed the tool compartments on the inside, and stripped and then stained in Onyx Water Based Stain by General Finishes and **NEW ** Dead Flat for protection. It was given a new life and I’m glad my client kept it!"
"This cabinet features 12 individual drawers made out of solid wood. It was handmade by someone a long time ago, and I have been hoarding it in my storage unit for years as it patiently waited to be refinished. I stripped the existing finish, stained it using General Finishes Onyx Water Based Stain, then sprayed Dead Flat for durability." - Flipping Unbelievable   Learn more about General Finishes NEW DEAD FLAT High Performance and Enduro Clear Poly sheens here:...
"I’m digging the neutral tones in this one. I really wanted to update the legs. The skirting is solid oak, so instead of adding legs, I had the husband square them off for a more modern look. I love how it turned out.   I used all General Finishes product. I started out with 2 coats of Linen and then sanded and distressed. I made a custom glaze using High Performance Topcoat + Walnut and Onyx Water Based Stains for a deep brown." - ReFabulous Finds by Christina
"This gorgeous custom dining table is headed to its forever home. Top: Reclaimed Million Mile Oak finished with Onyx Water Base Stain from General Finishes. Base: Metal X frame base w/ beam." - Lake County Barnwood

"It’s very common for my clients to want their existing table refinished, but to the same color it was before “but in new condition”. I still do the same pre work, clean and then strip but then I do my best to color match usually with mixing stains together. This was done in a mix of General Finishes Onyx and Walnut Water Based Stain. The table looks like it did when they first bought it!" - Flipping Unbelievable

Created with General Finishes water based dye stains in Pewter & Blue and Water Based Stain in Onyx & Walnut.

Another client owned stained piece, but this one was hand built by my client years ago! I love hearing stories of clients and how their furniture was made, that they originally used it for storing records and still use it for that purpose today!

"Meet Roger D...yes, a nod to The Who. He's classic with a twist! The blue and gray in Joe's new rug gave us the color inspiration for this groovy blend and everything came together beautifully. I started at the base with Dixie Belle Paint Company Midnight Sky, faded to Antebellum Blue and capped it with Hurricane Gray. The drawers and top have been re-stained with General Finishes Onyx Water Based Stain and still sport that gorgeous woodgrain. New hairpin legs and wavy raised-stencil accent...
"Let's start at the top, because why not? A beautifully refinished wood top is a hope I have for each charm when we begin. It's a gem in a crown, a feather in a cap...a piece of history shining through. For Daphne, the path to restoration was clear: Sand away the crystalizing varnish to reveal that stunning grain. For the next step...choose that complementing color stain. I went with General Finishes Water Based Onyx to deepen the tone and leave black within the cavities of the trim. Finally I...
