Light Brown

 This table was revamped with General Finishes Light Brown Water Based Dye Stain and Key West Blue Chalk Style Paint. 

"I applied two coats of GF Dye Stain in Light Brown to clear white pine boards, then used a sponge brush to lay down two coats of GF Java Gel Stain. After the stain dried, I used a clean cloth dipped in denatured alcohol to pull away some of the darker areas to reveal the amber-brown tones created by the Dye Stain. Instead of using a traditional topcoat I rubbed in a coat of beeswax. I love your products and we love our new beam." - Mary Schiff

Mary Schiff says, "It's been a while since I posted anything. Because of the cold weather and my unheated shop, I haven't been able to spray anything. I don't mind painting by hand, but topcoats are just not as smooth on large pieces. So, saying that, here is a bookcase I have been working on. Mary Schiff refinished this cute recycling center with a custom mix of our Snow White Milk Paint and Valspar. The maple top was stained with GF Light Brown Dye Stain, then the cabinet was sprayed with High Performance Topcoat in Satin.
