Gray Gel Stained Table Top

About This Post

"This was easily one of the funnest projects I've done! This was a collaboration done with my friend and fellow junk addict Nicole. She found the table and chairs for a song, I provided the materials, and we both put in the blood, sweat, and tears... ok,, who an I kidding, this was a full-on blast! After we stripped the top to bare, I really had Nicole raising her eyebrows when I chose French Linen, Emile, Duck Egg Blue, and Pure White Chalk Paint® just for the top, but I had a vision, and she held her breath! LOL!! The paint was layered with the grain and once all four colors were present, we sanded the table back exposing much of the deep oak grain. Next came two coats of General Finishes Gray Gel Stain that I sealed with High Performance Flat Top Coat, but that wasn't all! We finished it off with a all-over coat of Miss Mustard Seed's White Wax, and well... WOW!!! It's the perfect set if you're into that driftwood/coastal vibe!! The base of the table are resplendent in Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan in Pure White that is left clean and sealed with clear wax." - Jen's Furniture Rehab
